It was then that they heard it. The scittering of claws against stone. Soon, they started to piule into the room. FIVE HUNDRED GARGOYLES... And not one was bigger than a golfball...
"YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!" Brianna said in shock. People considered these a threar? Hell, you coiuld step on them and not even notice!
Ranma was somehow surprised by the sheer number of what there was. "What? It's no wonder no one could clean these things out! There's so damn many of them!"
"This is what I've been trying to tell you guys..." Sheila said. "They're worse than rats. They breed at incredible rates, and unlike other vermin, they eat people!"
Ranma thought for a moment. "Seriously though, how the heck do we get rid of them?"
Brianna suddenly got an almost evil smile on her face. "GIVE 'EM HELL, THAT'S WHAT!" Tapping a button on her bracletcom, there was suddenly, a large flame thrower was in her hands, the tank strapped to her back. "FRY!!!"
Brianna starting blasting fire all around, cackling maniaclly as she did.
"ARE YOU TRYING TO BURN THE PLACE DOWN!?" Sheila screamed as she summoned her scimitar Ice Fang. "ICE KAPOWIE!!!"
Sheila's ice blast then hit the fire, creating an interesting-shaped ice sculpture that covered the room all around.
Frowning, Brianna asked, "Why'd you do that!? I was having fun!"
Narrowing her eyes, Sheila said, "Oh? You were having fun? And what were we supposed to do if you burned the place down!?"
"This is a stone building! Unless it's a heat far beyond my Flamethrower, the stone isn't going to melt!" Brianna said, defending herself.
Sheila then pointed tp the sides. "Yes, but there are WOODEN support beams." She then pointed up. "And more wood to help give structure to the ceilings and floors!"
"Um, could you two stop arguing? Because I think you took care of the problem." Ranma said, pointing to all the ice around them.
Indeed, it seemed that Brianna's fire had engulfed most of the gargoyles, and encircled the rest, while Sheila's ice, freezing the flame, followed the pattern and froze the Gargoyles inside the ice.
Smiling, Ranma said, "You two make a really good team. Now all that's left..." Ranma said, before disappearing, he punched and kicked at rapid speeds, breaking up ice and frozen baked Gargoyle bits, and sent them out the front door, where the Fairie Elf Corbin stared in awe.
Smirking, Brianna walked up to Corbin and handed her four gold coins. "There's your money. Now, if you'll excuse us, we have some cleaning to do..."
Corbin begab to idly wondered what in the nine hells was with these people...
