Ranma didn't teleport away because he was in very much danger. He was very confident he could beat the Defenders. After all he beat all those foes as a mortal martial artists, and he was as far beyond that power level now. Whether or not Ranma would beat the Defenders wasn't something he was going to find out today.
Now he was going to feed off the dark emotions and chaos of the Defenders. After all an old foe of theirs named Yandroth brought the "Big Four"'s dark sides to the forefront. They almost took over the world.
Namor has many,many years of torment and hate. Some it is towards himself and how he had to kill one of his wives when she became a giant monster. There is also the pain he felt with his "son" nearly destoryed his people after Atlantis was risen. That was just some of his pain. He had so much more to feed off of.
Hellcat. So sweet, so nice... so full of hate and anger. Her life was a comic book and ever so called "happy ending" turned out to be a turn into abuse or seeing her husband for being much like his father. She killed herself at the urging of a cosmic being called Deathurge. She was later rescued from hell by the Thunderbolts, but she kept on fearing she'd be taken back to Mephisto's hell. There was also her utter hate of her last husband Daimon Hellstrom.
Ranma made a note to hang out with Deathurge sometime, sounds like the sorrow and regret he made beings felt before they killed themselves would be a great source of energy.
Moondragon would be a great source of energy. She had some self esteem problems and was very self conscious of her body and the barbs people would make about it. There was anger and regret at the things she had done when the Dragon of the Moon influence her. The biggest seemed to be the killing of her father, Drax the Destroyer. It would be the second time he died, and he would be later resurrected.
Dr. Strange had many regrets and torments. One being the death of his brother. He would have to be careful trying to feed on Dr. Strange's guilts, since Dr. Strange was Sorcerer Supreme and had a wide range of magical beings to call upon and powerful magical artifacts he could use on Ranma. Ranma figured caution would be needed when dealing with Dr. Strange.
Iceman had many fears and dark feelings to feed off of. He still hadn't recovered from someone else using his body and using his powers better than he ever had. There was a fear of Loki increasing powers beyond his control again. From the looks of it the whole X-Men team would make for a great meal. All the wonderful angst they wallow in would be tasty.
Ranma wanted to savor the Hulk's dark emotions like a fine wine. There was just so much there to eat. In fact he wasn't sure he could take that much at once. Though he'd have to be careful since the Hulk can actually see his astral form. Though he might find a Hulk personality that he could make a deal with.
Ranma knew he had to keep the Defenders together. He looked and saw that the Sailor Senshi were coming to the rescue. Too bad they were a day late and a dollar short.
"Though I can probably count on the Sailor Senshi and the Defenders having one of those super hero team vs. super hero team misunderstandings" Ranma mused.
Behind Ranma stood the Scarecrow. The Scarecrow is a being that guards the earth from a threat that could come out of painting. The Scarecrow was also part of a group called the Fearlords.
The Fearlords tried to fill the world with fear (which they fed on). Scarecrow didn't want that to happen and went to Dr. Strange with infomation on them and stopped them. Of course one member of the Fearlords fed on despair and drove humanity to that and was defeated.
Back with the Defenders, a fight between the Hulk and Namor had broken out. It reminded the Nerimains of the relationship between Ranma and Akane. It did actually dawn on some of them that a relationship like that wasn't in shouting distance of being a loving one. After all the Hulk and Namor don't love each other, and anyone crazy enough to say that to them would end up on life support.
Then the Sailor Senshi showed up.
"In the name of the Moon I'll ...hey stop laughing!" Sailor Moon said.
" Moondragon to you recall our talk of D-Man and how the standards of the Avengers were falling?" Namor asked.
"Yes I do" Moondragon replied.
"I believe the same thing can be said of super heroes if these are any indication" Namor said.
Sailor Mars took offence at that.
"What gives you the right to say that!" Mars yelled.
"Look here brat, I have far more experience than you" Namor replied.
Sailor Uranus seeing the "menance" that is the Hulk attacked him with her World Shaking. Hulk just looked at her like she was crazy.
"Why can't people leave the Hulk alone? Hulk hate having people attack him just because he's different. Hulk smash puny girl!" the Hulk yelled and punched Sailor Uranus in the face.
Sailor Uranus crashed to the ground several feet away, after going through a wall. Nabiki thought about having the Hulk pay for that, but figured that'd just make him mad at her and you don't want him mad at you.
The Sailor Senshi found out very quickly that standing around and powering up didn't work well with the Defenders. Sailor Mercury ended up bound in the crimson bands of Cytorrak. Sailor Venus ended up getting her butt kicked by Hellcat. Sailor Mars was decked by Namor. Sailor Jupiter and Neptune were beaten by Moondragon. Sailor Moon, Chibi Moon, and Saturn were defeated by the rains of Raggadorr. While the rain didn't effect them much, the lighting bolts in send out did. Iceman froze Sailor Pluto in a box of ice.
It was just then that Tuxedo Kamen showed up....
