Sailor Mars ran through the streets, her power allowing her to run full out even with high heeled shoes on her feet. She knew that Sailor Jupiter was running just behind her, but was too focused on the fleeing figure in front of her to care.
Several minutes earlier, Rei had been walking down the street with Makoto and Usagi, heading for a study session with the other Senshi. Naru had suddenly spotted Usagi and walked over with a friendly hello. Then a strange man dressed all in black had suddenly appeared just behind her.
"HAIL DOOM!" he had declared as a blast of energy had knocked Naru forward collapse onto the sidewalk, a great hole burned through her chest.
Rei snarled angrily. Usagi had dropped to her knees, trying desperately to help her friend, but Rei and Makoto had responded by transforming and attacking the monster responsible. When he dodged their attacks and fled, they pursued.
"Naru! Oh god, NARU!!"
"Usagi!" Naru called as she pushed through the crowd that had formed around her dead body.
". . ." Usagi said as she looked at her friend pushing through the crowd. ". . ." She repeated, looking at the body on the street.
The body on the street opened her eyes and rose to a sitting position.
"Z-Zombie!" Someone in the crowd screamed as everyone leaped back.
The 'zombie' Naru shook her head. "Robot, not zombie." She pulled herself to her feet and looked at Usagi and her counterpart. "You might want to join your friends." She commented, before vanishing in a swirl of light.
Ami blinked and looked up from the book she was reading at the sound of the approaching commotion. Running right toward her was a man in a black suit, with Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter chasing him, and screaming with more anger than she had ever heard from her friends before. Then the man in black casually jumped over her, and landed behind her to continue running. Mars and Jupiter ran past her without slowing.
"Mercury Power!" she called, transforming as she ran to catch up with her friends. "Wait, why are you chasing him?"
"That thing killed Naru!" Rei snarled angrily. "It's Dooms! FIRE SOUL!" She cried as she released a massive blast of flame at the black clad figure.
Gendo Rokubungi walked through the park with a smile on his face. He was free! And if that freedom came with a pricetag from a mysterious masked benefactor, that was all right, because the benefactor clearly had impressive capability's that he could likely turn to his advantage in the future.
Suddenly his attention was drawn to one side by a massive explosion. Looking toward it, he saw a black clad figure flying toward him, to easily land on his feet right in front of him. As the figure stood and looked him in the eye, Gendo realized that he looked exactly like the holographic disguise he was currently wearing.
"Perfect timing." The figure in black commented as he disappeared in a swirl of light.
"Sparkling,"
Gendo blinked and looked through the clearing smoke to where a tall girl in a short skirt was standing, electricity arcing between her hands.
"Wide,"
The jagged lightning was all drawing together into a ball between her two hands.
"Preassure!!" Sailor Jupiter cried as she released her concentrated lightning blast right at Gendo.
