"Are you certain of this?" the wizard asked.
"Ummm... yeah. I mean, a pilot might be cool, but a 'Maid' really ain't my thing, ya know?"
"Then I suppose that is that."
"Guess so. But what does that have ta do with anythin'?"
"This," the shopkeeper told her as he waved his hand, and there was a flash of light.
As it faded, Ranma blinked the glare from her eyes, and then rubbed her eyes with the heels of her palms. Which happened to be gloved, despite the fact that she hadn't been wearing anything on her hand only a few moments earlier.
Pulling her hands from her face she stared down at herself and saw that her clothing had changed. Instead of the Chinese style clothing, she was wearing some kind of uniform that looked to be vaguely European. It had some kind of front closing, with three little golden chains going across like fasteners. On her shoulders were pads, or guards that had a slightly thicker chain going from one of them to her collar. She wore a skirt that went to midthigh that was loose enough to fight in, but tight enough so that it rounded to her bottom. Her new footwear was calf high boots with low heels, with the same gold chains on them. And she could feel a headband brushing against the front of her hair.
"What the heck is this?!" she yelled, waving her hands.
"Why," the wizard told her calmly, "It's your uniform as a 'Mystical Knight'."
"Huh?!"
"'Sorcerous Knight'? In any case, it's quite simple, really. You take that sword at your side and use it to deal with the... problem.
She glanced down to her hip and saw that she had missed a sword in its scabbard. Pulling it out, she looked at the blade, which seemed to be rather odd, even if it were functional. It looked to be a broadsword, but it was all shiny and had four small gems in a diamond pattern imbedded in the hilt. There was even a tassel hanging from the pommel!
"And just how am I supposed ta fight like this?!" she demanded.
"Don't worry. This will work when it needs to."
"Great. But it ain't like I know how ta use it!"
"That would be rather pointless. There is more to it, starting with:
