"Hey, it's worth a shot," said Ranma. "The Wizard said the thing could do all sorts of things. If someone can figure out how to open it."
"How nice," said Kasumi.
"Bweee," bweed P-chan who had absolutely no idea how or what or when or why - just that it was Ranma's fault.
Nabiki twisted the right corner of the puzzle box ninety degrees. "And this is supposed to give us..." left corner turned one hundred eighty degrees "...a way in which my dear sister..." top half moved ninety degrees while depressing the engraved cuckoo "...doesn't turn into a dog..." right corner of the box restored to original position "or anything else -for that matter." Depress engraved partridge while returning left corner to original position. "Or, for that matter, that such a simple puzzle hasn't been solved?" Open lid.
Cue glowing orange light filling room from opened box.
Having snapped the lid back into place, and with her hair currently toing-ing up all over the place, Nabiki licked her lips nervously for a moment. "Uhm, Saotome, how exactly was this supposed to work again?"
"ARrrrrrrghhhh!" P-chan began shifting back to Ryouga without water. After a moment Ryouga stood, disbelieving. "Yes! Yes! My curse is lifted!"
"That'll be 50,000yen, Ryouga, I'll put it on your tab." Never let it be said that Nabiki Tendo was afraid to make a buck.
"Yes! I'm free of the pig! Free! Free?! Waitaminute. Why do I feel so heavy? Why?!"
Ryouga's clothes began bursting as his skin turned orange and rocky. Ryouga gasped and staggered to the koi pond, seeing the truth in his still shifting features as he continued to change. "No! NO! NO!!!"
"I didn't do it," insisted Ranma.
Ryouga brought his hands down and the ground cratered around him. Even more than usual. "Look at what you've done to me. I'm some hideous Thing!"
"I didn't do it," repeated Ranma. "Oh crap, are we... where's Kasumi?"
"I'm right here, Ranma-kun," said a patch of empty air. "Oh my! I'm invisible. How... disappointing."
"Uh oh," said Ranma. "Nabiki, you turned Kasumi invidisible or something and Ryouga's some kinda stone-man. What's going to happen to me?"
"That's right," said Ryouga. "Nabiki Tendo. This is all your fault!"
Nabiki thought quickly. Ryouga changed. Kasumi changed. Ranma and herself had been equally hit by this "comic radiation" stuff. So that meant:
