Ranma lapsed into silent thought, the only sound in the room being Usagi's sleepy murmurs. It was odd, laying there in a strange bed with someone who was supposed to be his little sister curled up next to him while an older yet still attractive woman who happened to be a fiancee sat nearby, purposefully not trying anything funny just because she'd said she wouldn't. To Ranma, whose life until this point had been a morass of lies and betrayals, the idea of someone else making a promise and then keeping it when the person that they'd made the promise to wasn't around was almost incomprehensible. Heck, compared to that, the idea that he was the reincarnation of a magical prince and happened to be engaged to over a half dozen reincarnated magical princesses seemed positively normal.
Such thoughts eventually lead him to an equally interesting conclusion. While he had some hazy memories from his last incarnation, he really didn't know much about his new fiancees; or would that be old fiancees, as they'd been engaged in a previous life? Whatever. The important thing was that while they all seemed to know a lot about his life, he knew nothing of theirs. Except for Setsuna and Usagi he didn't even really know their names.
It seemed to Ranma that the best thing at this point would be to find out more about the Senshi, starting with the one currently giving him a look of mild interest. Of course what Ranma didn't consciously realize was that in the face of this new round of chaos he was once again becoming fixated upon the most stable aspect of the interpersonal whirlwind, in this case the self-assured Senshi of Time. This would have repurcussions.
