Of course, Ranma couldn't care less about that. He had a new life, a best friend who didn't try to kill/marry/harm him, and a new fiance.
A pretty one who loved him even though it was arranged. He was also a shaman. Strange.
Strange because Ranma was a were-creature(I couldn't resist). His ability to summon ghosts, and freakishly enough, demons, caught the attention of an Itako who was traveling through his village. He taught Ranma everything about being an Itako since he was four, a young age, but Ranma was a prodigy.
His ability in the martial arts was also an interesting factor. the countless ghosts he met taught him even more things, and by the age of ten, he was traveling around the world. Visiting his fiance, Jetta, every month of course.
Jetta and Ranma weren't up to the arrangement when they were first told of it, but slowly they both warmed up to it. They were to be married when Jetta turned eighteen, being one year younger than Ranma.
Of course, Ranma wasn't alone by a long shot. His first (somewhat) successful attempt at summoning a spirit took a turn in the wrong direction. Instead of a summoning a friendly ghost, he summoned a demon who had been stuck in limbo for a thousand years.
The demon was not what he had expected from the tales he was told about them, but they both formed an unbreakable friendship with each other soon afterwards.
That leads to our traveling duo right now, Ranma being sixteen, and the demon...um.... somewhere in the ten thousands....

A young man walks along a dirt path that leads to a city in the distance. To any normal person, he would seem alone, but to a shaman, they would see him chatting with a creature covered by shadows.
He looked normal a first glance, but if someone looked closely they would note he had slitted pupils and somewhat lupine like ears, he was also bare foot. A long pigtail carelessly bounced behind him as he walked ahead, what ever strange creature he was talking too only slightly behind him.
His clothing consisted of a white opened shirt that seemed somewhat old, but still good enough to use. He wore black silk pants that contrasted with his shirt. The kanji for 'Chaos' was also on his back shirt. He also carried a strange staff with a wolfs head engraved on the end, it was shaped like a cross, the metal that crossed on the end had sharp, curved blades to them; a dangerous concealed weapon.
A laid back look was splayed on his face, the creature next to him happily voicing it's opinion on what ever they were talking about.
Finally, they reached a fork in the road, the creature chuckled, while the young man just groaned.
Sighing, he asked, " Alright, Sai, the infamous question, ' left or right?'" he said dryly.
The creature chuckled lightly at it's companions displeasure, before answering in a surprisingly humane voice " I'm not too sure myself, Ranma, how about you left, and I go right?" and with that said, the shadows dissappeared, revealing someone who could have been mistaken for a woman with his long hair.
It was black, and his eyes didn't seem human at all, violet and slit, so demonic. He was taller than Ranma by just a few inches, though he seemed young to anyone didn't look into his eyes.
A michievious smirk made it's way to Ranma's face, " Race then? We'll see who gets there first?" Sai nodded and an insane smile appeared on his face.
The two were about to bolt of in different directions, before Ranma said, " And Sai? Don't kill anyone or cause any disasters, I know you too well to take up a chance like this. Got that?"
