Outlaw Celestials: Clearing the Issue [Episode 57376]

by PsyckoSama

The two of them sat on the bed looking at each other, but saying nothing.

They'd both decided to talk about things together before they told the others. They had decided to get a Love Hotel room, as that way they would not be disturbed, but now that they were in private, they didn't know where to begin.

"Gaah!" Aisha snapped out of sheer frustration finally.

"What is it?"

"This silence is driving me crazy! Just say something!"

"...Something."

"That's not what I meant!"

"Well, that's what you said."

"Gene?"

"Yes, Aisha?"

"You're an ass."

"You're not going to yell at me?"

"Don't feel like it... I'm too tired."

The both sighed and laid back on the bed, and began staring at the ceiling.

"Why did we come here again, Starwind?"

Gene turned his had and looked at the Ctarl-Ctarl girl.

"What now Aisha?"

Aisha turned her head to look Gene in the eyes and snarled. "What now? What now!? I'm having you child, that's what's now!"

Gene winced. "I mean you and me. What now with you and me."

She sighed and turned back to looking at the ceiling. "You humans know nothing about Ctarl-Ctarl traditions, do you?" She scoffed. "Our mighty empire borders on your space, and you ignorant apes don't know anything!"

"Aisha, what's a bachelor?"

"Mwrw?"

"How about godparents? Or maybe baby showers? Answer this question, what does Christmas celebrate?"

"Some fat human with a beard?"

Gene rolled his eyes. "No, its celebrates the birth of the leader of a major terran religion, Jesus Christ. It has nothing to do with Santa Claus."

Aisha growled and sat up, glaring down at Gene. "What the hell are these questions about, Starwind?"

Gene rolled his eyes. "If you knew anything more about humans and human culture then what you see on TV or in some store window, you could answer them."

"Mwrw?"

Gene sighed. "What I'm saying is don't lord the fact that I don't know Ctarl-Ctarl traditions over me. You've lived and worked in Terran space for at least as long as I've know you, but you really don't know many details of our culture, now do you. I have never been to Ctarl-Ctarl space so I at least have an excuse! Now, answer my question, Aisha!"

Aisha's shoulders slumped and she looked to Gene.. "Fine..." She sighed and continued. "You're... my mate. According to Ctarl-Ctarl tradition, you're my mate."

"Huh?"

"To the Ctarl-Ctarl, the only difference between being mates and being married is a big party and the families' consent. One is authorized by the heads of both households, the other is not."

"And what makes people 'mates'?"

"I don't know, maybe it could be mating. You know, the production of offspring, you damn, dirty ape!"

"Wait a second..."

"What?!" Aisha hissed.

"Were you saying that according to you tradition, we're effectively husband and wife?"

"Well, give the monkey a banana!" growled Aisha, "His brain does work after all!"

"Let me guess," Gene whimpered, "You want to stay true to tradition."

Aisha visibly shrank. "It's all I have left," she mewed. "Ctarl-Ctarl mate for life, and you're my mate."

"Isn't there any way around that?"

Aisha looked at Gene, miserably. "Are you really that eager to be rid of me?"

Gene winced. "It's not that... it's just... it's just that I want to know the details, okay?"

"Only death," she replied. "Ctarl-Ctarl don't change mates, and 'cheating' is considered inexcusable." Aisha laid back new to him and continued, "You're male. You're lucky. If you want, you could have more then one mate."

Gene blinked. "Ctarl-Ctarl practice polygamy?"

Aisha nodded. "Yes, a male can have as many females as he can support. I'm stuck with you."

Gene sighed. "Well, we already live together, I guess not much is going to change."

Aisha looked over and sighed. "Guess not..."

"So, I can still find another girl?"

Aisha nodded. "Gene?"

"Yes?"

She sighed. "I have two choices... I can be with you, or I can spend the rest of my life alone... I don't want to be alone."

Gene slowly put his arm around her. "Aisha?"

"Mwrw?"

"I... I'm not going to do that to you. You're going to have my child. I'll be there from him, and I'll be there for you."

Aisha sighed. "Thank you, Gene. Now do you think you could do me the teensiest, weensiest little favor?"

"Umm...sure. What?"

"Don't ever call me an animal again!"

"Ah, yes... ah, dear!"

"Hmm... I think I could get used to this!"
