League of Extraordinary Anime: Thoughts of a Victorian Vampire [Episode 57570]

by PsyckoSama

After the smoke had cleared and the prisoners rounded up, the transport VTOL from the Red October arrived to pick up the League and its new member. The ride back to the sub-carrier was silent, except for the occasional chitchat between Methos and Vash.

The entire time Mina was berating herself. She had lost control. While in battle she’d been know to attack, even feed upon her enemies to both empower herself and sate her blood thirst, to lose one’s mind to the inner predator, to loose touch with humanity for even just a second was unforgivable.

It was what separated her from the inhuman freaks that organizations like Hellsing fought. If she lost her control, she’d be like the monster that created her.

Mina suppressed a shudder as she though back to Dracula, Alucard, or what ever the hell he called himself. He was very different, but still familiar. Maybe that was why she was here. This was her third league. He second had been during the carnage of the second world war. A smile came to her face as she remembered her friends both living and dead. It had been too long since she’d contacted Indiana…

Mina cleared the distraction, and placed her mind back on track. Was she really fighting for queen and country as she’d done one hundred years prior, or was she addicted to the adventure? Was she really becoming like him? Was this her way of dealing with the boredom of the ages?

The small craft shook as it hit deck. They had arrived back at the October. The low wine of elevator hydraulics permeated the hull as the small stealth VTOL transport was withdrawn back into the sub.

Mina stood up and smiled. Speaking of boredom, she had a tack to be done. One that a sociopath like Alucard would enjoy…
