She paused to smirk though. This time, it was Nabiki who screwed up and was changed.
Of course, this lead to a small amount of jealousy that her sister was situated in Ranma’s arms ... at least until she was safe to be released.
“Wait,” said Akane, “didn’t Cologne say she was finished changing?”
Thus, her former dull mood was slowly fading into her usual anger.
This was bad, as when she finally found the pan and grabbed it, she missed the slight prick of a bush that tagged her as she moved away towards the group to ... explain ... to her fiancé about feeling up Nabiki.
She even missed when the pan slowly began to burn her hand.
All she knew at the moment was something both warmer than the hearth and colder than the northern winds was carefully holding her.
Slowly opening her eyes, she noticed his were closed, and a sense of familiarity washed over her as she saw his face; his breath coming from his nose and forming a cloud in the cold air.
As his brow slowly steadied out, showing that whatever had been drawing his attention before had now ceased being of concern, she smiled, and stretched towards his face.
Someone as kind as he should be rewarded.
He opened his eyes to visually check if she was okay, wondering how long before she woke up. He didn’t mind carrying her, but he knew the fiancées would try and demand similar attention.
What he got was the lips of his patient on his own, as her tongue darted into his mouth, and left him paralyzed, as the neo-Nabiki took the opportunity to get a better purchase on him.
All he knew was that he was going to be oh-so-dead for this.
The fiancées grumbled, but held their tongue. At least ... they would until Akane returned with the pan.
After all, they could use it to ‘impress’ upon Nabiki about what was acceptable to do with or around Ranma.
