The bride had consented! A set of foreign princesses from the land of the bride's birth were all attending!
"How do I look?"
"You've asked me that four times, Usako."
Usagi glomped onto Mamoru's arm. "Don't you think royal weddings are so romantic?"
"This could be a very nice alliance, don't you think?" Ami asked Rei. "After all, while our magical attacks are more powerful than Procrit's magic - he's able to access a wider range of effects. Plus there are the dwarves, ogres, dragons..."
Rei nodded happily. "Instead of going alone against overwhelming odds. We can call on backup. There's some specialists in divinational magic I'm hoping to speak with after the wedding, it might benefit my fire readings!"
Hotaru fidgeted as Michiru checked her camcorder.
Haruka scowled at the thought of Hotaru dating a boy. And an inhuman boy at that! Hmmph. Not good enough for HER little girl by a wide margin!
Minako checked her hair again, grinning in an almost electric manner. She was hitting it off with elves! In the past few days she'd re-read Tolkein's ring trilogy and was ready to show off her knowledge of elven lore!
Luna grumped about how they had never allied with foreign magical kingdoms in HER day.
Artemis continued to speculate (silently) about magical cats that might be present in a magical kingdom.
Setsuna rolled her eyes as Makoto went into detail about how she was NOT wanting to play Snow White to some seven dwarves, and do you suppose that handsome general was available?
"Excuse me? Is this where the party for the Royal Wedding is gathering?"
The Senshi looked over at the girl dressed in a local High School seifuku, holding up an invitation and looking uncertain.
A middle aged woman carrying an odd bundle that might have been a sword was next. For some reason on overhearing that Makoto was boyfriendless, she seemed to want to discuss something about her "manly" son.
The crowd continued to gather, little by little, until the arrival of Akane dragging a very reluctant Ranma who had apparently decided to take an ancient Japanese method of meeting all the various honor arrangements - by joining a monastery near Lake Biwa where all they did 24/7 was practice the martial arts.
Also apparently, the only way to get him to participate in this rescue had been tying him up and gagging him.
"I don't think she wants to be rescued," said Ami in response to Akane's declarations.
"Who do you think knows her better, her own sister or some girls who just met her while she was being forced to eat pickles or something," asked Akane, remembering her own abductions. No doubt Kasumi was just too nice to fight this marriage tooth and nail and protest to strangers. She knew better.
