Giovanni Sakaki stood impatiently on the helipad at Team Rocket Headquarters. Beside him, Domino stood, showing a lot more patience. The clouds above them parted, revealing a small transport aerodyne. It swiftly descended on the pad, two figures dropping to the rooftop before the vehicle even touched the ground.
As the Aerodyne fully touched down, a man in a lab coat came down, carrying a large metal suitcase.
Giovanni frowned. "This had better be good Shiranui! I don't know why I'm wasting my resources on those silly crystals of yours."
Shiranui smiled, opening the case. "Oh believe me, I think you'll be very intrested in this!" He held the case out to Giovanni, showing him a large blue Gem, and three green shards.
Giovanni snorted in derision. "Not another of your experiments!"
"No, but it shows that I am on the right path!" Shiranui replied. "Our agents found these outside Ecruteak City. I've discovered a few very intresting things about the gem, but I'll need the resources of the main lab if I want to fully unlock it's secrets."
"And what are these... 'intresting things' You've found?"
Shiranui smiled the smile of one who could taste oncoming vindication. "Perhaps it's best that I show you." He turned back to the Aerodyne. "Cera! Blade! Tetsu! Marsh! Come out and say hello to the Boss!"
A dark shape shot out from the aerodyne. It skidded to a point three feet in front of Giovanni.
"Helooo, Boss..." Giovanni looked down at a huanoid canine standing three-and-a-half feet tall. Her sleek black fur was offset by a series of star bony protrusions that wrapped themselves around her slim body and limbs, topped off with a skull-like helment with small horns that came down to just above her eyes. She snorted out a short blast of flame and bowed deeply. "I am at your service."
"Oh stop sucking up Cera!" A voice called from the Aerodyne. On top of it stood a metallic winged figure. Lithe and stong, It's head sported a beak that looked dangerously sharp, almost as much as the edges of it's wings. Blade flexed his talons. "This isn't just your show!"
"Yeah, we're part of the team too!" A rumbling voice said from below Blade. The entire aerodyne rocked as a heavy weight came off of it. Another Metallic figure, standing a good six feet tall, stepped off the ramp. It's thick, almost serpentine body was covered in muscles, or the rocky/metallic equivalent thereof. Tetsu stood next to his former master Bashou, crushing a PokeBall in the thick fingers of one hand. "I won't need this anymore!" He said, a grin spreading across his massive serpentine head.
A moving puddle of sludge flowed around Tetsu's feet, congealing in front of him into something that looked like a Muk, but had a far more humanoid shape. Marsh was the shortest of the group, at three feet tall, even after she formed legs. She moved over to Buson, smiling as she left toxic footprints in her wake.
Shiranui smiled and turned back to Giovanni. "The large gem seems to have an, shall we say... 'unusual' effect on Pokemon. Cera here," he said, placing a hand on top of her head, "Was the first to touch it. She belonged to the agent who first found it. Naturally..." He gestured to Bashou and Buson's Pokemon, "I had to make sure. I haven't been able to determine the properties of the shards, other than a similar, if inverted, energy signature. If I can re-tool the Crystal Field Generator, I know I can harness the power of these crystals for Team Rocket!"
Giovanni stared, almost open-mouthed, at the four transformed Pokemon. His look of suprise soon turned into a shudder-inducing grin. He smiled evilly at his reflection in the Chaos Emerald. "Shiranui, you have just redeemed yourself!"
