League of Extraordinary Anime: Bad Timing [Episode 60609]

by Red Priest of the 17th Order

Mina nodded her head. "Sorry for the wait, Morrigan. But I was pretty ssure I could find you here, while other members needed for the team are prone to move around. It was imperative to find them first."

"Understood." Morrigan said. She knew how hard it was to find the more tenacious people in life that moved around frequently. That Ryu Hoshin fellow was one of her favorite 'prey' to hunt and fight. Always offered her a good challenge and chase.

Morrigan took a moment to look over the crowd gathered before her. There was the vampire Wilhelmina Harker, a woman Morrigan had met before during World War II. The League needed someone blatently supernatural to help deal with Hitler's supernatural fetish, and Mina thought Morrigan to be a perfect candidate. But Morrigan turned it down as she did not want to get caught within such a squabble.

Then there was Bond. James Bond. God, he had aged horribly. It was almost a shame to think such a great lay could have aged as such. But she should have expected it. No matter how great he was back in the 1970's, he was still only human.

Then there was HIM. The former lord of the vampires himself. Morrigan didn't know whether to be impressed, disgusted, angered, or empathic to the stories and rumors she heard about him. A vampire hunting his own kind, after he had helped them rise to great heights. Ah well. He was still only after vampires and posed no threat to her... For the moment anyway...

Then there were two others. A vampire. A YOUNG vampire to be more precise... And a man who could have been Alucard's murror opposite. The positive energy he was putting out pracitcally vaped her.

Mina stood stoically, seeing as how the succubus watched over all of them with an appreciative eye. This is how she was before, when Mina had found Morrigan with Dr. Jones, Walter Dahmaz, Lamont Cranston, Cliff Secord, Richard O'Connell, and the Phantom. Sizing them up to see if they were worth her time. In the end she was forced to decline because of a failed Nazi attempted at binding her power to their will. She couldn't join them because she had to bide her time and recover her powers. What she did do was give them names, and left Indy walking bow-legged for the following couple of days.

Finally, Mina spoke out. "Well, Lady Aenslade... What is your answer?"

Finally, after another moment of silence, Morrigan gave her answer. "Sounds fun, but now is not the best time... Old habits die hard, and I am needed elsewhere..."

Hearing that, Alucard smiled a little. He was well aware of Morrigan's life and probles... At least through her reputation anyway. "Really Morrigan, next time he's in the country call me. I could visit him on 'buisness'..."

Morrigan blinked at the idea of Maximoff's head being blown clean off his shoulders. She smiled slightly. "I might have to take you up on that offer."

Alucard just nodded his head.

It was then that a childish voice rang out. "Big sister! Big sister! Can I? Can I?

The League was then startled as a young-violet tressed girl with red bat-wings started to float down next to Morrigian. Vash smiled at the little girl. "Hi."

The girl blinked her eyes in surprise to someone acknowledging her. She then smiled back at Vash. "Hi."

Morrigan turned to the younger succubus. "Lilith, what do you think you're doing?"

Lilith looked up at Morrigan. "I wanna join the League! Can I big sister! Please?"

Morrigan shook her head. "No, you're a little too young for this..."

Lilith pouted. "But I'm as old as you are!"

Seras blinked her eyes. "Wait... That little girl is as old as Morrigan?"

"Apperances can be decieving, Police-girl." Alucard said in a stern tone of voice. "You should know that."

Seras nodded her head. "Yes, Master."

Mina's eye twitched as she saw how the young vampire was head over heels for Drac, er, Alucard. She knew she was trying to stay on Alucard's good side, and it miffed Mina, knowing the young vampire would probably give her life for someone not worth it.

It was then that Lilith bounded over to Alucard. "Mister Alucard! Mister Alucard! Can I join the League? PLEEEEAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSEEEEEEE?"

Scratching his chin for a moment, Alucard said, "Well, I don't see why not?" He turned his head towards Mina. "Mina?"

"Absolutely not." Mina stated firmly.

Lilith pouted cutely again. "Meanie!"

Chuckling at her sister's antics, Morrigan spoke out again. "Once again, I must apologize for my younger sister's antics. She is quite immature for her age."

"Quite all right." Alucard said.

Morrigan looked over at Mina. "Miss Harker."

"Please," Mina said, "Call me Miss Murray."

"Very well, Miss Murray." Morrigan said. "While I cannot help you personally, I can make two recommendations for you."

"Oh?" Mina asked. "Who do you recommend?"

"Why, the first is very man that inspired the Arthur myths and legends of England... Ashram..." Morrigan said.

"Wait!" Seras said. "You mean King Arthur is real?"

"Of course not." Morrigan said. "Arthur is the Fable. Ashram is the Fact."

"And where can we find this Ashram?" Bond asked, rather curious to think that they could possibly get 'England's King' on their team.

"You'd have to travel to Avalon, that part of the legend is true." Morrigan said. "I'm sure Alucard could show you the way."

Mina looked at Alucard, who just smirked mischievously.

"The other is easier to find." Morrigan said. "In my more recent outings, I've come across a Darkstalker with great faith in humanity. A girl with unwavering belief in the human heart and soul. A Catgirl by the name of Felicia Talbain. I believe you can find her on the North American Continent."

"I see..." Mina said. "I thank you for your advice."

"It looks like we're going to have to split up to save time." Bond said.

"Yes, I must agree." Mina said. "I think it would be best if I stick with Alucard in going to Avalon. Perhaps I can talk this Ashram into joining. Vash, Seras, I want you two to head to the United States to see if you can find this Felicia Talbain."
