Tuxedo Belldandy and Lovely Warrior Keiichi: Access At Last [Episode 60787]

by James M. Zema

Urd sat back against the silk pillows resting behind her head and back, blinking away the tears as she clutched her sides. Her laughter was dying off slowly until Belldandy scowled at her. That nearly set her off again, and might have if she didn't think her sister might have forgotten herself and hit her with a bolt of energy. She was feeling better, but not quite that much better.

The Goddess of the Present glared at her older sister, her cheeks flushing slightly. "It's not funny, Urd."

A snicker escaped Urd before she managed to smother it, and she wiped her eyes with the back of one hand. "Of course not, Bell. What's funny about you being the 'bishonen love interest' of a magical girl?" Her lips twitched and she snatched up one of the pillows beside her to muffle her face before her traitorous mouth got her killed.

"Yggdrasil is just taking a little while to update the files, that's all." Belldandy pursed her lips, staring intently at the terminal sitting in front of them, as if she could get the designation changed by will power alone--which might have been possible had she still been allowed up in Heaven.

Turning to Urd, Belldandy said, "Anyway, don't you think it's kind of odd that--

Urd had just managed to get her amusement under control as the access terminal beeped once and Belldandy turned to the screen again, her comment interrupted. The emerald leaves of the interface were still in the process of falling off the tree and regrowing as they watched, but they finished quickly enough and her sister gave her a pleased smile.

"You see, I told you it was just in the process of updating. It says 'bishoujo love interest' now, and 'Prince of the Ear--" She blinked as the last part of that statement registered, then sighed and turned back to her sister.

Urd just grinned. "They'll get it right eventually, Bell." She reached over and tapped a key on the terminal and the screen slowly faded out to black. "Anyway, we've gotten as much information on the wish as we're going to be able to get with my access codes. If yours were still working we might be able to get more, but we can work with what we have I think."

Belldandy slid the slim, ivory case of the terminal back across the desk and turned her chair towards her sister. "Do you think so? We weren't really able to find much beyond my information and some of Keiichi's."

Urd drummed her fingers on the nightstand beside her bed for a moment, her well-cared for nails tapping out a staccato beat. "Well, we are still missing the reason why Keiichi's wish was interpreted like it was. You're sure you don't remember any of his thoughts while you were brazenly flouting the rules?" she added slyly, the grin climbing back onto her face.

Shooting an annoyed look at Urd, Belldandy asked, "You're never going to let me live this down, are you?"

"Not a chance, kiddo. Not a chance." Urd flipped her hair back as she raised her chin and assumed a saintly expression. "But since I'm such a kind and forgiving sister, I shall still deign to help you in your time of need."
