Ranma clenched his fist and then shouted, "Fine then, fang boy, I accept your challenge." For a moment he wondered just who this guy was and what exactly he wanted from him. "But first, my name is Ranma Gerad. Who are you?"
The boy smirked and then said confidently, "If you must know, my name is Ryouga Hamlette."
Suddenly Ranma began to crack up, not consciously knowing what is so funny, but his spiritually he was laughing into tears from the coincidence of the name and Ryouga's former curse of many lifetimes ago.
Growling, he jumped at Ranma, who swiftly bounded out of harm's way. The branch that Ranma was standing on snapped off of the tree and crashed to the ground. Ryouga kicked off of the tree before the tree even hit the ground, going after Ranma. Ranma flipped away, ignoring a car that is driving by. Ryouga and easily caught up with him and started throwing a barrage of punches at Ranma. It was so fast that Ranma could barely even dodge, let alone get a counter in.
Then Ranma saw it, a huge hole as Ryouga leaned back to deliver another punch. Not wasting a single second, because he had less than one, he smashed his foot against Ryouga's side. Ryouga went flying through the air and crashed into the trees.
Gasping for air, Ranma thought, "This guy...is really good..."
A rustling came from the woods as Ryouga came walking out of the trees, nearly unscathed from the attack. "You have gotten considerably weaker, Ranma!" he said with clear disappointment in his voice. "You're no longer the challenge that I hoped for."
"I'm not gonna take that! I don't believe anything you're saying about past lifetimes!" Ranma screamed, but something deep inside was screaming at him.
Ryouga cocked an eyebrow at the other boy and then chuckled, "If you do not believe me, then I will fail in my quest... Fine then, go to China if you are a man. See for yourself who you once were!" Then he began to walk away. "I will be waiting for you at Jusenkyo."
"But China is that way!" Ranma yelled out to the boy and pointed to the west. Ryouga was going south. "Oh, thank you." He turned and started walking to the west.
Later that night. Ranma was lying on his bed, and staring up at the ceiling. He was considering the decision of going to China or not going to China. Although the whole thing really far-fetched. Past lifetimes? What the hell was Jusenkyo? Whenever he thought of it, a cold shiver shot down his spine. He didn't like the sound of it.
