"Can the sarcasm Tendo," replied Tarou, "I want to know what you are doing here."
"I assume that would be the same thing that you are."
"And what would that be?"
"Looking for Ranma and Herb's child."
"You told her?!" Tarou accused his wife.
The middle Tendo daughter waved a hand at him. "Someone I know told me that she was looking for a girl that could only be theirs, and from that, she only had to confirm what I had figured out."
"That's just perfect. And what do you plan to do with this knowledge?"
"Find that girl before she gets into trouble, or worse, meets up with one of those who used to be engaged to her mother."
"Oh really?"
"Yes, really. And every moment that we spend verbally sparring means one less where we can find her."
Crossing his arms over his chest, the cursed man frowned at her. "So you're not going to just bring her home?"
"Hardly, if you mean the dojo. Though I could manage her at my apartment, even if it would be a tight squeeze."
"And I doubt that an officer of the law would wish to put a child in danger," put in another voice.
Startled, the trio turned to see Cologne hopping into view. "What are you doing here old woman?" asked Tarou.
"Invesitgating what seems to be an odd meeting," answered Cologne.
"So this has become a convention?"
"If it is one, then it is not something that I would wish to invite my greatgrandaughter to."
"Why?" asked Nabiki, "Don't you want to bring her in too?"
"Of course not, with what we all suspect she has done."
"You think she did it too?"
"Children do so think that their elders are so out of touch that they do not pay attention to what they do. And Shampoo is not a good actress at all."
"So each of us have the same idea in our heads?"
"Apparently so. But if what I overheard was true, then we have other concerns at the moment."
"And that would be?"
"Finding that girl of Ranma and Herb's of course," replied the Amazon Elder while:
