"What was it like on this other world?" Ron asked over the questions of the others.
"Well," Harry mumbled around his food, "it was pretty different. Wizards didn't keep themselves seperate from other people, so most big cities had at least a few wizards working there. Not counting the priests and shrine maidens who work at the temples."
"Priests?" Hermione inquired. "What do priests and temples have to do with magic?"
"All the priests know at least some White Magic," Harry said with a sigh. "It's part of their job, so they can treat the sick, banish evil spirits, stuff like that."
Seeing the confused looks, Harry alternated between shoveling food into his face, and explaining about the Mazuoka, led by the Dark Lord Ruby-Eye Shabranigdo, and the Greater Dragons, led by the Flare Dragon god Ceipheed. Then, he explained the three schools of magic; White, which was powered by the gods for healing, purification, and protection, Black, from the Mazuoka, used for curses and spells of destruction, and finally Shamanist, which called upon the spirits of the four elements and the astral plane.
"Most of the time, you have to be a priest or something, and go to the temples, if you want to learn more than the basics of white magic. I've picked up a few spells; Recovery, Sleep, Protection, just the basics."
Hermione resolved to corner Harry at a later time, when she could ask more indepth questions, and learn more about this new magic. Something that several of the Ravenclaw's also planned on doing.
"Was that spell we saw one of them?" She asked.
Harry nodded. He then easily cast another light spell, to the amazement of everyone. Including some of the teachers.
