Such as was the case with Britanny Elin'Gia Diggers and her husband Stryyp'Gia Diggers...
Waking slowly, Britanny found herself hugging her sleeping husband. Her emotions were jumbled. Here she was, four months pregnant, and life seemed to just get more complicated for her.
Britanny wasn't sure what to make of life lately. She was pregnant. That didn't bother her in the slightest. In fact she was rather excited about it, and happy she would become a mother...
But the woman who attacked her and her family... The woman who wanted to destroy her unborn child, Tanya, was still free... And she was still in Atlanta.
Worse, one of her best friends, Ranma Saotome, was the one that was keeping an eye on her... Hell, he was the very reason Tanya was still here, and not being locked up on Jade.
In all honesty, that bothered Britanny greatly. Her best friend, one man who's always stood by her and supported her through the good and bad times... Was siding with the woman who literally made a decent percentage of the bad times for Britanny.
And that made Britanny wonder... Why? Why would Ranma side with Tanya over her? She remembered Ranma mentioning how they were in the same boat, how he knew how Tanya felt... And how would Ranma feel? Tanya said she felt betrayed and abandoned... Why would Ranma feel betrayed and abandoned? Was it in referance to his old life in Nerima, or... Something more?
It was that thought that went through Britanny's head and make her question herself. Another way Ranma would know how Tanya felt would be if he lost out on someone he loved... Possibly in this case, the same couple...
Could Ranma have loved her? Britanny didn't know...
And on some levels, was afraid to know.
It wasn't that Britanny liked Ranma... But she knew how he was almost constantly abused before he met up with her family... If he loved her, then what did she do to him by loving Stryyp? Did she hurt him emotionally more than any of those Nerima bastards ever could?
Siging, Britanny knew she would have to make herself find out sooner or later. Best she could do was ask around...
But for now, it was just best to sleep in. To just enjoy being in the presence of her husband.
