Ranma rolled the odd word around in his head. Kryptonian.

There would be little or no difference at first, he thought. The wish didn't give him exact knowledge of how it would all work out. After he changed completely it would stabilize some. Then he'd start to accumulate energy from the sun.

Ten years? Five years? He wasn't sure how long it would take just that it would take a long time before his abilities really started taking off. In more than one sense of the phrase.

He might get little bits before then. Most of it was the solar radiation being absorbed into his body from the yellow sun of Earth. Some of it was that Krypton had a more evolved race - Kryptonians having over a hundred million years longer to develop than homo sapiens. Some of it was the heavier gravity that Krypton had possessed. It would start slowly until a sort of threshold was reached and then - boom.

In the meantime he'd be at a major disadvantage in fights against what was an awful lot of magical girls, any number of whom could wipe the floor with him if he didn't adapt really darn quickly.

Even when he came into the fullness of those powers, some of the powerhouses out there could cut through his defenses faster than his father could through a Chinese buffet.

Ranma's newfound wisdom was also making him a bit more introspective, but the crashing noise from the backyard was telling him that things were about to hit the proverbial fan now because it was:
