At least that way she would not be able to keep on thinking about one particular Man. Her mind would be focused on other things, rather than wondering if Jura was right and Men's kisses were different. Allowing herself to wonder what it would be like to be Meia at that moment was a definate no-no. And momentary imaginings about how men and women could fit together were not about to appear in her mind if she could help it.
But what she really didn't want to do at the moment was what she was doing at that moment.
"This is really stupid," Barnette pronounced as she shifted around in her trenchcoat.
Peering over her sunglasses, Jura frowned. "We have to keep ourselves in disguise so that we won't disturb them!"
"How is going around dressed like this going to help?"
"By keeping them from seeing who we are."
"So instead of seeing the two of us, they'll see two fools in trenchcoats," the dark haired woman commented. "Have you been hanging around Dita a bit much lately?"
"No..," the blonde replied absently and grabbed her partner's arm, "Come on!"
The other woman found herself dragged into the Mess, and pulled to an out of the way table. She frowned as she was pulled down into a seat, though she did so with only a low grumble of protest.
"So why'd you have to do that?"
"That and that," Jura said as she pointed twice.
Following the gestures, Barnette looked and saw Meia and Hibiki sitting at completely different places. One might think that there was nothing special about it, but when one suspected what they did, they could see something there. Despite being nearly spoonfed by Dita, the Van pilot managed to look past her to where the Dread Leader sat. And Meia's eyes did not watch the scene of the pair like everyone elses, for there was some unguarded emotion that couldn't be identified easily.
"Okay, we've found them. Now what?" asked the dark haired woman.
"We wait and watch," Jura answered, intent on doing so, while:
