Ranma blinked as he got up, "Well, I'm, whoa!" Ranma had to duck a round-house kick sent his way, "I was going to tell you, so why the hell are you attacking me?!"
"Grr, I'm just going to get back at you for knocking me over."
Ricky ran to the edge of the building and was tempted to tell Yumei just who she was fighting, but he decided against it, "She'll find out soon enough."
As Ranma continued to dodge and twist out of the way of Yumei's strikes, he had to give the girl some credit, had this been anytime before he learnt the Amaguriken, he would've given her good odds to, at the very least, give him a good run for his money. As it stood right now, she had no chance, "Well," Ranma ducked a quick round-house kick, "I'd like to know," he twisted out of a way of a quick knife strike, "Just who is attacking me." Ranma jumped over a quick sweep kick and twisted his body out of the way of an uppercut.
Yumei frowned but answered him, "Yumei Ichinohei."
Ranma blinked, "Ichihoten? Are you related to Ichi-koo Ichinohei?"
"She's my elder sister." Yumei then launched a round-house kick at Ranma's head, who just twisted out of the way, "So who are you? And just how can you dodge my kicks so easily?"
Ranma blinked, "Well, I'm Ranma Saotome and. . .uh, just why are you bowing down before me?"
Yumei bowed her head, "I'm sorry, if I had known that it was you, I wouldn't have attacked."
Ranma just scratched his head, "Just why did you bow down when I said my name? And for that matter get up."
Yumei got up, "Cause I don't wanna get my ass kicked by a Legendary God of Martial Arts."
Ranma sweat-dropped, "Um, I know I'm damn good, but I ain't no God, nor am I Legendary."
"You mean you don't know? Martial Arts Sensei's use you're exploits as examples of someone who dedicated their life to the Art."
"What exploits? I hate to break it to ya, but I've never done anything really worth-while, except for that time I helped save an entire race, but that's it."
Yumei just looked at him, "You beat the Dragon Prince Herb, the Phoenix God Saffron, my friend Asrial said you beat an uncollared Benji after he kicked her's, Akaru's, Arnie's, and Ryan Talbot's assess in a fight."
Ranma chuckled, "Yeah, I did beat them, but Saffron had a glass jaw, as for Herb, well, I gotta admit, that was a tough fight. Benji, well, I wouldn't have even got in that fight if Peachbody hadn't decided I was a threat to him as well." He shook his head, "But still, how does that make me some Legendary Martial Arts God? I mean, it's a good boost to the ego to hear that, but still. . .I mean, I never won a tournament, beat a powerful and evil Martial Artist."
Yumei just looked at him, "You just disappeared, but not only that, but you disappeared UNDEFEATED, and that's how you became Legendary. The other stuff was uncovered later. But you disappeared unbeaten and no one could ever top you or ever get close to do so ever!"
Ranma sighed, "Heh, it's nice to hear such praises, but I ain't unbeaten. In a formal challenge, yeah, I don't get beaten, but I've been beaten in informal matches."
Yumei nodded, "I guess, but the formal matches are the only ones that really count!"
Ranma just shrugged and turned to find a phone, he had to call his friends, not to mention his mom and tell them that he was all right, they were probably worried about him by now.
Yumei tapped him on his shoulder, Ranma turned to her and was surprised when she got on her hands and knees, "PLEASE TAKE ME ON AS YOU'RE STUDENT?!"
Blinking he asked, "Huh?"
"Please? If you were to train me, I'd be a much better fighter than I am now."
Ranma scratched his head, "Eh heh. I'm not exactly licenced to teach or anything like that." Seeing Yumei get dejected, he quickly added, "But I suppose I can help you out, you know, give you pointers and spar a bit with you."
Yumei got bright-eyed, "REALLY?!"
Ranma nodded, "Sure, I don't see why not?"
"WEE!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!"
"Ah, yeah. I gotta find a phone first."
Yumei pointed out, "There's one at my sister's place, we can go over there."
Ranma shrugged, "Sure."
