The voice as well as the kid that narrowly missed him, or vice-versa, jolted Ranma out of his trance. He was in the market. Ranma looked around a bit unsure what to do. Just a moment ago it seemed he was walking out through the front gate of the Tendo home....now he was here.
It didn't matter how far he'd walked or where he was, the only part that mattered to him now was that none of the fiance's were here to use him like they had been. Had? They were still using him now if only in name to protect their lifestyle from scrutiny......and as long as he stayed in Nerima they would continue to use him.
But just how long were they planning to keep this going? It'd already (he assumed) been going on for two years. And Nabiki must.......be in cahoots with them cause she wouldn't pass up a opportunity like that with all the perverts at Furikan High. By the same token his dad, Mr. Tendo and Kasumi must of known for some time. It'd explain why the bungling fathers kept trying for a quick mariage.
His mind still muddled with thoughts and dark emotions Ranma got out of the main crowd and picked a calm spot between two antique stands where he could think in peace.
Now that was a riot, him thinking anyplace but in a fight. But here he was, trying to understand what had already happened as well as how to defend himself. The first order of business was to move out of the guestroom, let the fiance's have their fun but without using his futon damn it! He could try sleeping in the living room but that would just alert the fathers to what was happening sooner, then they would start badgering him even more intensely to marry Akane and move into her room (shudder). No, the dojo would have to do. The fathers rarely went in there and even then it was never to train, and it'd probably be a few more weeks before they went in their again so he'd have some time to sort this whole damned mess out.
If he could.
Another thing is he couldn't think of the fiance's as friends anymore, in the case of Shampoo and Akane they were just too eager to get at his female form. What was with people and his female form? He keeps telling people that he's a guy but all they want is for him to be a girl. Niether Nabiki or the computer club helped as she kept selling photo's of his female form and some of those hormone challenged idiots kept changing the photo's to make em even more perverted. SO that made them all enemies now.
But what about new fiance's? Should he trust em? Warn em? Ignore em?
How was he supposed to know if they were all in cahoots or not? He sure as hell didn't know about Shampoo and Akane (and Ukyou) until today. So he'd have to distance himself less he find himself, in female form, in a very bad situation (with that thoughts of the moxibustion point came to mind). But if those new fiances were just regular girls then he should wanr em cause from the way Shampoo and Akane were talking they were determined to get his female form whether he liked it or not so they might do that to new girls as well.
But......why would those (new) fiances fathers so eagerly engage them to him? What if those parents could tell that their daughters liked other girls and wanted to try to change em?
Ranma closed his eyes to the view of the busy market and its teeming, happy people as they went about their own lives.
Damn it, Ranma thought, how's a guy supposed to deal with something like this without breaking down?
