Lycanthropic Future: Tiger er… Tirga’s Awakening Call (WAFF) [Episode 63930]

by Galliard

Early morning, Seers Hammlet

The huntress walked stealthily, her furred ears turning to and fro, the mingled light tracing stripped patterns in her already stripped fur. Behind her, his brother (twin, actually) watched over her shoulder while their younger (one year) siblings, another pair of twins, closed the hunting pride.

Doing their best to move silently, the pride moved until their targets came in visual range. Good, their preys still slept, unawares of the dangers closing in them. The pride approached.

Closer …

Closer …

Closer …

Closer …

Almost there …

With happy yowls, all four kids jumped up and all but submerged their parents in a mass of giggling, laughing fur. Good thing they had had the foresight of buying a sturdy bed.

"Oh my! Are you awake yet children?" spoke Kasumi, as always wearing a soft smile. She was in her hybrid form (ever since the Purification and the end of the war against Claudius she took it as her normal shape and very rarely turned back into her old human form.), her golden stripped fur contrasting softly with the ponder blue of her lace teddy (her husband liked her in sexy clothing and she had no reason to refuse!)

Laughing a little himself, Tirga turned while tickling her eldest daughter, Yuki. Her snow white with blue stripes fur shone in the room's twilight. His twin brother Micca was helping their younger siblings (they having more a common tiger pattern fur), Toma and Rachel, to get closer to their parents. Even at such young age, his caring and worry with his brothers and sisters warmed his heart. "And to what are you children up to this morning, hum?" he laughed.

In the years after the fight, Tirga and Kasumi became one. Moving back to Jade, Tirga grew into his new occupation as chief of the Edge Guard as Onoli stayed to manage the Earth branch. Surprising all that new him before, he proved an apt and caring leader, and though he never quite lost his flirting ways, they got toned down and his fidelity to his wife was beyond reproach. His love for her healed a lot of hurt in his soul, while his flamboyant and free ways helped her go beyond her 'housekeeper' shell and find a life for herself.

The coming of the children … well, it just cemented their relationship more. Two pairs of twins, the eldest practically conceived while in the war against Claudius. Yuka and Micca took after Tirga's maternal grandparents, a couple of Siberian weretigers. With 3 and half years, they were sometimes a bundle to handle, but he wouldn't exchange that for nothing in the world. The youngest, Toma and Rachel, came just a year later. Tirga couldn't help but fall deeply in love with all of them. They truly combined the best of them both (some of the worst as well, but he wasn't worried.). The caring, the ability to 'see' into other people's inside, the devil-may-care attitude, the loyalty … oh yeah, truly a good mix.

In the years after the Purification and the fall of Claudius, the combined efforts of Amy Mizuno's research from the files on the Mercury Computer and Gina Diggers' own research produced a whole new kind of technology. A 'technomagic' technology so to speak. One that was not only environmentally friendly, but actually environmentally recuperative! Furry Tokyo spearheaded its use, becoming one of the healthiest industrialized places on Earth. In Jade, the honor belonged to Seer's Hammlet. Citywide electricity, house plumbing, even some telephones and TV! (Thanks to small, special permanents portals, phone & TV cables were laid between Furry Tokyo and them, making both cities repeating stations to information for their respective realms.)

Which came to help Kasumi's budding writer's carrier just fine. Having both electricity and phone at home meant she also could afford a PC (actually, a 'Gina Digger' specialty model, a late wedding present of a sorts when Gina heard of Kasumi's desire to write), which she used to write her novels (three already published here and on Earth and another being written) and communicate with her publisher.

Getting up, Kasumi walked into the kitchen. Minutes later, a delicious smell permeated the house.

Holding the youngest in his arms and giving a pig back ride to the eldest, Tirga joined her as the meal just got ready. With 'help' from the kids, he rapidly set the table out and sat everyone.

"Need some hand with all that love?" he asked his wife while seeing the younger twins' napkins.

"Oh no, anata. All's fine." She replied smiling as she turned down the rice's fire.

Soon, a typical Kasumi style breakfast covered the table (although these days it also included some extras, like venison, mutton or zebra meat for their claws). The family dug out with gusto, as they were to do.

"Honey, I might get a bit late today. Some Edge Guard groups are coming together for briefing on the new patrol scales and it may took a little while…" Tirga spoke sadly. He loathed being away from his family too long.

"Well, I was going to tell you anyway ...I have to go to the Earth realm today. My editor wishes to arrange a few meetings and discuss some details of my last work. It would probably take a good part of the afternoon." Kasumi replied. "I was planning in leaving the kids with Ranma while at it. They're children became good friends with Yuki and Micca. I have already checked with them." She said smiling.

"Ah ... so when I come, you'll probably still all be at Earth?" he asked, looking down.

"Honey, how about that? When you finish you can take a gate and meet me at Ranma's. Then we can make a night in Tokyo for ourselves as the children sleep over at Ranma's house and them we can came back tomorrow!" she proposed. "Provided you can wake after some 'fun' lover …" she whispered hotly in her husband's ear.

Tirga's eyes glowed bright. Suddenly the night held a lot of promises …
