Slowly the grey colored hulk of a spaceship made its way towards an area of the galaxy that was strictly forbidden to enter by the government the ship belonged to. But the ship had a special permission to enter this space, because it was on a special mission to hunt down the worst criminal in history.
„Sir, we are about to enter the Sol System,“ Lieutenant Jim Medigan said.
Captain Don Fraiser nodded.
„Proceed,“ he simply said.
His mind went back to history class back in high school. The Sol System. The place where the cradle of mankind silently orbited its yellow sun, Earth. Nearly a millennium ago his ancestors and the ancestors of everyone back home on Gaia and the other colonies were exiled. Just because they didn’t want to take part in some kind of perfect world.
Fraiser was shaken from his thoughts as the sientific officer of his ship, Ensign Noriko Yamada, spoke.
„Sir, the warp trail of the ‚Black Moon‘ ends in an orbit around Earth,“ she said,“ We can pick up a temporal disturbance at the point where the trail ends.“
Fraiser‘s eyes narrowed. So, Wiseman had done it. He really thought that he could change the past? Bad enough that he had killed more than ten thousand civilians on Olymp to steal one of the temporal flux generators, but now he had choose to use it.
„Soban,“ he said into the room.
„Yes, Captain Fraiser,“ the voice of the ships AI answered.
„Remove all locks from the temporal flux generator. I want you to scan for the temporal trail of the ‚Black Moon‘.“
„Acknowledged, Captain Fraiser.“
Fraiser stared at the main screen of his ship, the ‚Soban‘, and at the blue white colored marble that was earth. No one back home knew why Earth had become this ball of ice after their ancestors had been exiled, just that only one city remained alive.
„Sir, I’m picking up some magical signal from the surface. It looks like our shield have thrown a magical teleport back to the planet.“
Fraiser nodded again. Magic was outlawed on Gaia and the colonies, but people like Wiseman and his gang, the ‚Black Moon Family‘ still used it.
„Captain Fraiser, I just followed the temporal trail of the ‚Black Moon‘ back to it’s end. It seems like he moved back around twelve hundred years.“
„Thank you, Soban. Plot a temporal course to the ‚Black Moon‘. I want to end this once and for all time.“
With that the battle cruiser ‚Soban‘ disappeared into the time stream, to hunt down Jonathan Wiseman, Don Fraisers biological father.
