Theo smiled at Julia, "Nothing's the matter dear. I was just thinking about how our lives have changed recently."
"You mean with Grave getting married?" Seeing Theo nod Julia smirked, "Yes, I agree, things have changed a lot since then haven't they?"
"Yes, us gaining an daughter and son-in-law, as well as a slew of new adventures besides."
"Yep. And I am surprised that there is an Earth-based martial artist that can beat my students."
Theo chuckled at that, "Yes, and I remember how much harder you made them work because of that."
"Well, if anyone on Jade overheard the fact that three natives of Jade got beaten by an Earther, they'd never live it down."
"True, Earth-based fighters are generally seen as weaker opponents, but still, Gar, Carla and Luan did ask for that fight when they scoffed at the notion that he was the best fighter of his generation."
"Hee hee, oh yes, attacking his pride as a fighter, that's a big no-no for someone like him. Heh. Ranma is a lot like myself actually."
Theo smirked a bit, "Just that you have more expirence, skill and power."
"Actually, he's almost on par with my skill, power and expirence on the other hand, heh."
"I'm surprised that he got that good without being trained by a single Jaden fighter."
Julia shrugged as she took a bite of her food, swallowing she spoke, "He's fought some of the world's best fighters, and regardless of what Realm you're in, that's a high accomplishment. Plus the fact that in formal challenges he's unbeaten, as well as when the fight counts he doesn't lose. But enough about our son-in-law, what about Grave?"
"You mean how is she coming along in her magic studies correct?"
"Yes."
"Well, I have to say that she's further along than I thought she'd be."
"Oh? How so?"
Theo shrugged, "She can grasp concepts pretty easily, she's not too much further along than I thought she'd be. In comparison, she's like a student that you only expect to know only one move that knows two, or in this case, you expect her to know four moves and she knows five."
"Ah, so she's only one step ahead of what you would expect then huh?"
"Yes, and I blame my father for that from that time not too long ago."
Julia winced, that was not a pleasant time for anyone. "Nope, I don't blame you for saying that. Good thing we no longer have to worry about your father ever again."
"Or Gothwrain, I'm surprised that Grave, Brianna and Ranma were able to remove him from his postion as High Elder of the Wererats."
Julia nodded, "Still, it has been too quiet as of late."
"You say that like it's a bad thing."
Julia looked at Theo, "You and I as well as Britanny and Strype may have settled down a bit, even though we still have adventures now and then, but do you honestly think that Ranma and Grave have settled down just yet?"
Theo laughed at that, "Heck no! Remember, just before their wedding, some Kappas had comendeered the bathtub over here?"
Julia laughed at that memory, "Yeah, that happened when Ranma came over here to visit us for a bit. I still laugh when I remember how he actually proved that Bigfoot exists."
"You mean how Ranma caught him moving around his campsite one night, knocked him out and tied him to a tree in the morning?"
"Yeah." The two of them shared a laugh between bites.
Theo hummed, "Still, you are right. As far as I know, all of our children's enemies are still active right now and we haven't hear a peep out of them for a while now." He then shook his head, "What happened to that Kendoist that attacked Grave and Ranma's wedding?"
Julia grinned, "After he was beaten down, Brianna decided she needed a new "practice dummy."
Theo rolled his eyes, "Oh brother."
"She's not using anything letal, so it's perfectly all right with me."
Outside, tied to a post was a bruised and rather beaten up Kuno, "The foul sorcerer hath proven himself truely to be a coward, tis true, since he cannot face my noble self in battle."
Hurtbot Commander looked at the other Hurtbots, "You know what Main User Gina and Secondary User Brianna said if he starts acting up again."
The other Hurtbots nodded, took aim, "Stun Beam, maximum power, FIRE!" Each Hurtbot, ten in all, shot their hands forward and blasted Kuno into unconsciousness.
Hurtbot 09 nodded, "That was fun." Everyone else agreed.
