"Oh dear," said Mercury.
"It's just tactics," defended Uranus. "You sacrifice pieces in chess after all."
"No not that," said Mercury, staring at her computer.
The simulation had been fully televised.
Sailor Mercury had dealt with some problems in her own way.
So had Kachoo.
Kachoo had killed a lot more of his people though. Even though both Thugee and Assassin cults had their new adherents and some popular support, they would not be tolerated if the alien won.
He had struck as if these people were a cancer that had to be cut away. A pestilence that had to be quarantined before it was completely eradicated.
The religious leaders who espoused it. The followers who acted in it. The people who supported it. With literally inhuman efficiency and complete ruthlessness.
The message was clear. If Kachoo won, the Middle East would see a bloodbath. Cultures that respected strength and ruthlessness would be treated from a position of such. "No, that wasn't on the plan," admitted Sailor Mercury.
"You might consider it, all the interclan warfare there is a bit much. Their healthcare is also mainly absent," said the pediatrician. "Have you considered strategies for this weekend's battle?"
"No," further admitted Mercury.
"I'm sorry, you can't be present for this," said Luna. "Sailor business."
"By the way, Tsukino-san, they do free spaying and neutering of pets at the animal shelter. It really is a shame that there aren't more responsible pet owners now a days." The physician left the room, a faint smile showing she wasn't serious. Not completely anyway.
"Don't even go there," Artemis said to Venus' odd grin.
A beeping got their attention and brought it back to the Mercury computer.
"Oh dear," said Sailor Mercury. "It looks like:"
