Parents And Children: A Killer Cursed, A Vow Venerated [Episode 65001]

by James M. Zema

Ranma flipped backwards, evading a strike from her wife, then let her legs sweep out in an attempt to tag the nimble woman in front of her.

As the young woman was in the air from her own attempt at evasion, Ranma rolled directly under and pushed herself into the air feet first. Catching her wife directly behind the knees, she grinned to herself as she felt the woman's balance come undone and knew this match was hers. Not that it was ever in doubt.

Twisting herself, she managed to get her own feet under herself just in time to catch the defeated combatant. "My win. Should I claim my prize, now?" She grinned down at the woman in her arms and started for their bedroom as delicate but strong hands pulled her head down for a kiss.

Ranma barely managed to make her way into the house before her wife bore her down to the floor, her hands and mouth driving the pigtailed girl to distraction. She valiantly tried to return the "attacks", but in this arena, she was no longer the Master. Still, she gave it her best as her lips met with her wife's again and her thoughts rapidly fled to leave her in the moment.

It was several hours and quite a few room changes later that Ranma extracted herself from the tangle of limbs and sheets she and her partner made, the beautiful woman's breathing soft and her hair lying across one cheek. Ranma gently smoothed the damp hair back and covered her with a blanket, then left the room at a trot, heading for the furo to wash up.

She slowed and came to a stop as she passed the room just to the right of her own, however, and, her eyes shadowed, stepped through the dark curtain that separated it from the hall.

As her eyes adjusted to the darkened interior of the room, the faint glow of the candles in the shrine at the back of the room illuminated two tiny bundles, tiny statues of infant twins, boy and girl.

Tears welled up in her eyes for a moment, but she dashed them away angrily. She had almost let herself forget today the price she still had yet to exact from Saotome and his wife.

"Death isn't enough for you, "Saotome"." She turned her head upwards, her eyes trying to pierce the veil between life and afterlife. "Your children will pay the same price mine did, whether it takes me five years or fifty to find them."
