In any case, it wouldn't be very apparent just how much of mix she'd be for one particular reason. This might have also had something to do with her difference from most others, but her mix of traits was going to produce something that gave a definite impression of something out of many myths.
Or perhaps, it wasn't a myth. Perhaps the ancient dragons had similar origins to the modern angels. Perhaps.
As it was shown, the mental effects were already beginning. She was already much more individualistic than she had been, though that was easy enough to accomplish. She was craving meat and, though she wasn't aware of it yet, blood.
And, in addition to finding herself staring at Shinji more often, she was finding she had the oddest urge, at times, to straighten out his clothes or otherwise fuss over him.
Shinji wasn't the only one to evoke that response, actually. Lieutenant Ibuki was also a person prone to bring that urge out as well. And she'd been fighting a growing desire to lecture Major Katsuragi about her alcohol consumption. Not even mentioning Asuka's tendency to act like something of a spoiled brat.
It was a little known fact that several reptillian species had a highly developed maternal instinct, you see.
