As Governor with access to the healthcare technology of the alien up to 22nd century levels? It was tempting. Strongly tempting. As a hospital based physician, she saw a lot of pain and suffering. Even when the patients were not her own, and she took her turns in the ER, she was exposed to it. Artificial skin for burn victims. Organ replacement technology. Reattaching limbs. The possibilities were heady.
And here she was about to be handed the possibility. Of becoming one of the new aristocracy, very near the head. Not a duke or earl or something, but a high lord and of not just any region but the Far East.
Oh yes, she was tempted. The starving children could be fed. The lame could walk. The blind could see. Diabetes could be eliminated. All this and more. Was it not the duty of her profession to ease suffering?
She'd have to decide soon.
"Your team has apparently studied my team's abilities," said Kachoo approvingly. "Excellent."
"I'm not familiar with them," admitted the physician.
"Most are Espers. Psychic talents. Ganymede is the gadget-oriented one, she has telemechanics. See, she's using her ability to interface with and control technological devices to shut down the Mercury Computer. Leda is the clairvoyant, and a bit out of her league here. She's mainly blocking with her fan using a sort of Seventh Sense ability to see a few seconds into the future - allowing her to react to things that haven't happened yet."
Sailor Pluto stood there staring at nothing as Io stepped forward and slipped a lead and collar onto the Senshi's neck.
"Oh, Sailor Pluto apparently has fallen to Io's attack. She's a bit odd with her fascination for her little sex games, but is quite good with telepathy and telepathic illusion. Apparently Pluto san has some leanings in that direction that left her open."
Doctor Mizuno shuddered at the smile on Pluto's face and was dismayed when Uranus and Neptune started blasting at each other.
"Simple enough tactic," said Kachoo, sounding disappointed. "Io has simply inserted the illusion to those two that the other is the enemy that they're fighting and Io herself is their other partner. Impersonation accomplished by telepathic projection."
The black girl teleported into midair, then dropped behind Uranus just before a Mercury Aqua Rhapsody flash-froze the short haired Senshi.
"Thebe, she's the Afrikaan, can teleport. Across a room or a continent at will. Metis is telekinetic, able to move things with her mind either as delicately as moving an egg or lifting up to 200 tons for short periods. Himalia, the latino, can project beams of force," pointed out Kachoo. "Callisto, the Irish redhead, is pyrokinetic - able to control and shape fire. Amalthea has her catgirl reflexes, speed, strength, and the ability to manipulate her own life energies for techniques such as in one of your fighting style video games."
Doctor Mizuno winced at Jupiter trying to go hand-to-hand with Europa and being slung into Moon with enough force that both were clearly dazed.
"Oh yes. Europa. Her powers are magical in nature, much like the Senshi's are. In her case they are all physical enhancement. She is strong enough to lift a battlecruiser, faster than one of your gunpowder projectile weapons, and nearly impervious to harm. She also is quite conversant with a large number of unarmed and armed martial arts styles."
Doctor Mizuno winced as she saw Sailor Mercury hit with several of Ganymede's "goo grenades" and finished off with something that covered her face.
"Drug patch. I'm afraid your daughter will likely be unconscious for several hours now unless the Senshi manage a last minute rally."
The camera switched to where Tuxedo Mask was fighting Amalthea and most of his tuxedo was shredded.
"He offered you what?" Pluto asked in stunned disbelief.
"He offered to make me the Governor of the region that included Japan, Korea, China, and the area down through Malaysia - or as much as he can win at least," admitted Ami's mother.
Pluto blinked a couple of times. "If he does, can you cede control of Tokyo to a sub-governor - Usagi? That way we can have Crystal Tokyo despite all the problems."
Kumori Mizuno nodded. "Shouldn't be a problem."
There was stunned silence still from everyone else.
"That's it?" Minako finally asked. "Even if we outright lose everything, we still create Crystal Tokyo and Usagi becomes Princess, and..."
"I'm a doctor not a Governor. I might even be convinced to resign and appoint Usagi as my replacement," pointed out Doctor Mizuno.
More stunned silence.
"I am so confused," said Usagi finally.
Uranus shook her head, having even more trouble with this than Usagi in some respects especially after
