"This sucks..," complained Rei Saotome.
Rei Amuro nodded in a commiserating way. "I know how you feel, but we have to keep quiet for the moment."
"But that may not be possible," commented Rei XIV.
"Why's that?"
"Them," the EVA pilot replied, point to something nearby.
"WAI!" said a happy Rei Natsume, "More people to play with!"
"You must be terminated," the first in the group of stormtroopers told them.
"I don't think so pal!" Rei Saotome barked.
"You do not have a choice," he told them and the quartet of white armored figures aimed their weapons.
Which of course meant it was time for the blur effect.
The two groups stood facing each other, with the Reis in a line, and the troopers in pairs.
Near the Reis was,
Rei Saotome, HP75
Rei Ayanami the XIV, HP50
Rei Natsume, HP90
Rei Amuro HP45
And on the opposing side was,
Faceless Minion, HP8
Faceless Minion, HP6
Faceless Minion, HP7
Cannon Fodder HP1
"Here I go," growled Rei Saotome as she ran over and punched a 'minion' before jumping back to her earlier position.
He flew back, landing with a thump and a little '10', over his head. Having reached his maximum, he fainted.
Then it was Rei Natsume's turn, and she went over to a 'minion', grabbed him by his armor, and smashed him to the ground. A little '11' appeared over his head, and he fainted.
That was followed by Rei the XIV calmly walking over to the 'cannon fodder', kicking him someplace really sensitive, and walking back while a '2' popped up over his head.
Rei Amuro watched as the guy fell over in pain, and went over to the last remaining one, pulled out her laser and shot him.
It grazed his arm, sending up a little '4', and making him drop his weapon. That didn't stop him and he ran at her, intending to hit her.
All he got for his troubles was a 'Miss', and a beatdown from Rei Saotome, which brought up a '5'.
As he fell, victory fanfare played, and the quartet of catgirls celebrated with little victory dances.
"What was that?" asked Rei Amuro asked.
"Dunno," drawled Rei Saotome.
"But it was fun!" went Rei Natsume.
"Can't argue with that," replied the martial artist while:
