The ultimate sword: Soul Edge.
Various tales were told about the misterious blade, placing it on high with Excalabur and the Scottish Carbolg. Rumor had it that it could part moutans and slay armies with a single storke, while others called the blade "The Sword of Heros", seeing it as a symbol of freedom from Western colonization. Only a few that found the blade knew the horrifying truth: Soul Edge was in fact a demonic sword, empowered to consumed the souls of its victims, along with possessing its weilder to become nothing more that a extension of the blade's own malvolent will.
The blade pass through many owners throughout history until it came into the possession of the Spanish Pirate Cervantes de Leon, who after murdering his own crew embarked on a rampage throughout the nations of the Old World, exhulting in his possessed immortality until it was brought to an end by two women. Like the Soul Edge, the Soul Calibur carried the same abilites, but was the polar opposite of its demonic twin, thus was the only blade capable of destroying it. In the final battle with Nightmare, the Soul Calibur revealed itself from the blade of a Chinese swordwoman named Xianghua and shattered Soul Edge, thus ending the existance of the blade for all time.
