Ashi Ranma: Planing the Nermia Job [Episode 66467]

by Raven

Despite how Nabiki pegged him to be a complete jock, Ranma was far from stupid, espically now. Despite how much personal satisfiaction he may get from trying to find a means of preforming the Shun-Gokui-Satisu on the uncute tombitch, it would mean little in the long run.

He wanted to enjoy his revenge, to make it last. He wanted to see the faces of everyone when he leared that HE of all people suckered them. And then he wanted to shatter their delusions and sanity, peice by agaonizing piece before finally destroying them. As he imagined it, Ranma remembered a quote from a book he was forced to read in Mrs. Hinako's class, "A well thought out revenge is like a gourmet meal: to be savored slowly after a long and delicate preperation." (A/N: the quote comes from Mike Herbert's Dune: House Atredies).

And Ranma did intend to enjoy it. But first off, he needed resources if he wanted to take over Nermia. Resources and money. His time as Nabiki's puppet had shown him just what could be done with money sent to the right places, keeping certain wheels greased so that there would be little interference from the police or local goverment with her scemes and the usual chaos that characterized Nermia. That and information could be quite the valued commodity to certain people.

But unlike the mercenary daughter of Soun, he had neither the time or the interest in pene-ante operations like hers. Ranma knew that the best way to make it easy wasn't petty stuff like bilking studens out of lunch money for soft-core porn but going for the real scores, such as robbing a major zibatsu and diversifing the money so no one can find it. Right now he had the perfect target for resource aqusition: the Kuno family.

Given their insanity, no bank would come within a hundred yards of the Kuno affairs, forcing them to keep the bulk of their money right in their mansion, save for a few investments in the stock market. Hell, Kuno regularly bragged about the contents of his family's vault, giving Ranma the impression that if someone, namely him, were to rob it, the entire Kuno family would be reduced to poverty.

However, he couldn't just walk in there with the Umisenken since there would be no way he could empty out the vault undetected and since only he and his father knew about the invisibility technique, even Akane would be able to figure out who did it. Thus, he had to do things the old fashioned way, and that would require some help. He would need someone to handle necessary cons, demolitions to cover his tracks, safecracking, security analysis, and a wheelman to escape, yet they would have to be outside of the usual gang of idiots. Mainly, they would have to be people like himself, disfranchised with the status quo, saw Akane for the bitch she really was, and had very little if any moral sense at all.

And if the offer of a cut of the Kuno fortune wasn't enough, he could always make them an offer they couldn't refuse; help him or spend the rest of their lives learning how to eat through a straw.
