The worker standing with him took the clipboard, looked it over and nodded. "Seems to be in order here. And we'll have those parts in real quick."
"I hope so. The Staff room has needed this for quite a while."
"If you say so... Though it shouldn't take too long for this one."
"Oh, really?"
"Yeah," the worker said as he put the clipboard under his arm, "We're getting some new help to beef up our teams."
"That's got to be good for you."
"Yeah, but you've got to think about how some parents name their kids. There's eve one poor guy who seems to have been given one name."
"What's that?"
"'Zathras'."
"Sounds Greek..."
Standing in front of a group of officers, Aoba sighed. He hadn't expected much of a difference in the reaction, but he did hope that they would let him tell them all of it.
"You mind telling us again what you just said," a female technician demanded.
"Sure. Us guys are going to have a day where we can go and have some 'group connection exercises', where we get to have 'stress deflation programs' at 'places of public relaxation, such as drinking establishments and shows with exotic entertainers'."
"Which means we get to go out and have fun on company time!" cheered one maitenance man.
A nurse rolled her eyes, before glaring at Aoba. "And what will us women be doing while you men go out getting drunk and staring at strippers?!"
"That's simple," Aoba told her, "You'll be having your own drinks and be looking at your male strippers."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Hot damn, I never thought that I would say this, but I love this job!" declared an engineer.
"But how are we going to pay for this?" asked a clerical officer.
Aoba shrugged. "Seems that they found some money from the Commander, and decided that we needed to relive some stress."
"Lucky for us, huh?"
"I'd say so. Can't imagine anyone having a big problem with it right now."
"How did something like this happen?" Gendo asked his second-in-command from where they stood in the doorway to his office.
Fuyutsuki shook his head. "I don't know, but apparently someone allowed them access."
"But it was supposed to be secured from outsiders."
"It seems that they managed to get clearance."
"How was that possible?"
"We do not know at the moment, but we are clamping down on it."
"That doesn't change what's going on at the moment."
"Of course not."
"I had set everything the way that I wanted it."
"And it worked superbly."
The Commmander looked at the older man and frowned. "Then tell me one thing."
"What is that?"
"Why is my office in shades of blue and silver?"
"Apparently, the designer from 'While You Were Trading Spaces' decided that you needed to have the room brightened up."
"And the plants?"
"Supposedly, they are to 'bring life to the room'."
"Where is the diagram?"
"Replaced by a stained glass feature."
"Then I have to deal with it, though I do have one other job for you."
"What is that?" Fuyutsuki asked.
"Find the person who told them to use feng shui in here and have him sent to work in Mongolia," Gendo ordered while:
