[Episode 67] [Episode 67]Akane began to furiously throw any and all hand-sized objects at Ranma, then graduated to larger and larger, until there was nothing left nearby that was not a fixture. Unfortunately, to actually rip the sink out, she’d have to let go of the towel she was holding in front of her, thus revealing her naked self to Ranma.
In the midst of this barrage, Ranma made a small fort of a couple of benches and hid behind them. He yelled “Damnit Akane, am I going to have to put a lock on this door? You always barge in when I’m in here! I said I was going to take a bath, can’t you wait your turn?” As a large raccoon statue flew over his head, he wondered briefly how that had appeared in the washroom, but was more concerned with staying alive.
“That’s…not…the…point!” Akane heaved, her breathing heavy from the volley of items she sent towards the boy. “What…I…want…to…know…” and here she paused to get her breath back, “is just who that is in there with you?!”
Ranma blinked and looked over at the other boy beside him (also naked!). “Oh. Well, why didn’t you just ask?” Akane paused her offense and blinked. What a concept. Ranma indicated the somewhat sullen looking orange-haired boy next to him. “Akane, this is Ryo. Ryo, Akane.” Ranma leaned toward him in a conspiratorial manner, but kept his whisper loud enough so that she could hear, “You know, the one I told you about, the macho, uncute tomboy.” At hearing that, Akane began to growl “Rrannmmaa” and look around for something else to throw, but nothing was left.
Ryo said back to Ranma, “I see what you mean about the gorilla,” but more quietly.
Ranma continued blithely to Akane, “Ryo here is going to help me out by getting over my fear of cats. You always seem so upset whenever Shampoo tries to help that when I met him while on a training trip, I knew it would work better this way.” He grinned and put an arm around Ryo’s shoulder in a friendly hug.
Akane looked at Ryo curiously. “Have you been to Jusen--?” she began, but was interrupted by a soft popping noise and where Ranma’s friend had been was now an orange cat.
“YYAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!”
"WHAT???"
