Rin's Curiosity: Ultimate Parental Defense #1 [Episode 67015]

by Proteus

"Stupid Human," Jaken roared. "What kind of question is-urk!"

Pulling the staff of heads off Jaken's head that was now buried a good five inches in the dirt, Sesshomaru turned back around and continued on. "Quiet Jaken I need to think. Rin, why do you want to know that now?"

Rin smiled at Sesshomaru-sama and told him. A few days ago thanks to a rather nasty fall and some thorny weeds Rin had torn her kimono and needed a replacement. After Sesshomaru took her into town later that night as to avoid as many humans as possible to find a suitable replacement, through an open window in a nearby hut Rin had seen a mommy holding a baby and trying to rock it to sleep.

"So Rin wanted to know, were to babies come from?" she asked again.

So that's what had gotten her curious all of a sudden, Sesshomaru realized. Now, while Sesshomaru may not have been your model parent, what with the fact that he dragged a child into some of the most dangerous demon filled lands of all, he didn't sugar coat any of his explanations when Rin asked him other questions like if he killed people or other stuff of that nature. But still, the thought of explaining to her the 'facts of life' as it were, just didn't sit well with him.

Then, he thought of a way out of this to get the heat of his back and put the matter aside for awhile, like until Rin was 25 or something. "I can't tell you, you need to ask a woman."

"But why Sesshomaru-sama?" the girl asked.

Luckily he had already thought of an answer beforehand. "It's...tradition,” he told her. "Men explain it to boys and women explain it to girls. Since you're not a boy I can't tell you."

"But there aren’t any women here Sesshomaru-sama," Rin replied.

'EXACTALLY' the demon lord thought.
