Another thing Shinji wondered about was the fact that he had a sudden surge of confidence since the last time he bedded a girl in this dream. 'Or is this really happening?' he thought, finally having the courage to consider that possibility. His confidence was so high, in fact, that he even considered fighting an Angel. Alone. On foot. With one hand. After this consideration he wondered where the thought had come from.
The third thing our formerly hapless hero wondered about was why he suddenly had loads of martial arts knowledge at his disposal, including some little-known disciplines involving ki manipulation.
The last three things Shinji wondered about were about why he felt so disproportionately strong, why he had a strong urge to fight someone, and why he had a nearly irresistable urge to wear spandex.
Shinji thought for a full minute before dismissing all this. Then he simply grabbed his clothes, not really caring if they fit, and put them on, finding them a little tight due to his new physique. Little did he realize that he was now a Saiyan.
Then someone knocked on the door.
When Shinji opened the door, he saw a Section 2 officer in stormtrooper gear, right down to an authentic-looking blaster. Shinji's greeting was simple, if less than polite (by now some of the Rei's had woken up and started staring at Shinji in confusion. Boy are they ever gonna be surprised): "Who are you and what the hell d'ya want?"
To say the 'trooper was taken aback would be putting it lightly. To his knowledge, only the First and Third Children should have been here, and now he's meeting a strange boy/young man answering the door... and not very politely, at that. This couldn't be Shinji! Shinji was polite, shy, shorter, had no muscle tone, etc., etc. Oh yeah, and he didn't have this ridiculous hairstyle, either, or even hair that long. By the way, how did this kid manage that hairstyle anyway? How much hair gel did he use? Oh, well... "I am a Section 2 officer, and I've been sent to retrieve the First and Third Children. Let me through or call them here. If you don't do either of these, I might have to do something drastic." (AN: Yes, I know it's lame, but I couldn't think of a more appropriate threat besides 'I'll kill you,' and I don't think the Section 2 officers are THAT dumb, but...)
You might think that, with his new (over)confidence combined with his new urge to fight, Shinji wouldn't take this too well. You would be right. Shinji's answer was to simply reach out, grab the 'trooper, drag him into punching range, drop him, and punch him.
THOOOOOM! That was the sound of Shinji's fist hitting the stormtrooper, incidentally shattering his 'armor,' revealing the SS uniform underneath.
BOOOOOOM! That was the sound of the 'trooper hitting the wall, going through it, and going through the building across the street, too.
Shinji simply stared at where the Section 2 man used to be and thought, 'Damn. No wonder I felt so strong.' When he closed the door and turned back, he saw everyone present staring at him in utter shock. Then...
