The mood of the room was grim. These were people that did not normally gather.
That was just the way it was for the agents of Section 66, the organization formed to protect the citizens of the United States from Supernatural or Paranormal threats.
When all agents not directly on assignment were called in... at the same time, to the same place, well, it usually meant that something big was going down.
To these people, 'Something Big' usually meant 'End of the World' big. Or at least the destruction of the human race. Neither were laughing matters.
All minor whispers and fidgeting stopped once the door opened again. The man that walked in was well on in years, his short hair and handlebar mustache having gone white from age long ago. Despite that, he was still quite quick and able... enough so that many of the agents wouldn't be surprised if he lived another eighty years, even with Vampires, Demons, and other creatures after his head, soul, and more. They knew him only as Wynter, the man who chose each and every one of them to be in his team.
And, in his usual direct and blunt manner, Wynter summed up why he gathered all his top agents together, and why the situation was important to them.
"Ladies, Gentlemen... Hellsing has been destroyed."
