Invasion of the Pod People: Not Quite Ready For The Biathlon [Episode 67319]

"Fuck".

"It would have been better if you had not suspected. The process would happen in your sleep and be totally painless. Now we must subdue you."

Hotaru -- or at least, the creature that looked like her, Haruka wasn't sure -- produced a gawky-looking pistol from the vehicle's glove compartment. It took Haruka a second to realize what it was -- the carbon canister on the back and the wide barrel bore meant it was probably a tranquilizer gun. Hotaru and Setsuna didn't want her dead just yet, but that was small consolation. Haruka was about to kick open the door and tumble out of the car, consequences be damned, when everyone in the vehicle was startled by wjhat sounded like a bolt of thunder -- though the sky was crystal clear and there had been no flash of lightning.

Setsuna relized what was happening before the echo had even passed. "We are being fired upon."

"Yes. We must capture the assailant."

Without another word, Setsuna slammed on the brakes, laying tread for twenty or so yards and sending Haruka and Michiru facefirst into the seatbacks in front of them. "Subdue these two. I will find and subdue the attacker. He cannot hide for long." With this, Setsuna stepped out of the car and began to eerily scan the surrounding area for anything out of place.

In the vehicle, Hotaru held her gun inches away from Michiru's neck. "I do not know why you are frightened. This is the only rational way."

Haruka's eyes met Michiru's. Things were definitely going to hell.

"She's getting out of the car, I've got another shot!"

"No, you idiot! We don't know if they can transmit visual to each other, so you should close that god-damn window before she sees it, and lets get OUT of here before Hotel Security arrives! If we're quick, we can still keep track of where they take those two!"

• Wheeler's had enough of this shit, and draws a bead on Setsuna's forehead. They're made already, he may was well take some with him...
• Wheeler snaps the window shut and draws the drapes before Setsuna sees him.

  Inside the car, Haruka grabs Hotaru's wrist and attempts to wrest away her weapon.

• "There's no time for that, damn it!"says Wheeler, right before he grabs the Colt Python from the nightstand and dives out the third-story window, attempting to land on a full-sized van below him.
• Before Wheeler can move, Setsuna sees the glint of the sun off the rifle's barrel. She slowly extends her finger to point at the weapon and emits an ear-piercing "EEEEEEEEE!"
• From across the street, a new voice is heard -- one of the Senshi is here to put a stop to this madness!
• Something else happens.
