The last thing that he expected was to have her crying in obvious joy as she woke up.
"This is so wonderful!" Ifurita declared as tears ran down her cheeks.
"It is?" he asked, slightly confused.
"Yes... I won't ever have to blow up another city again..."
"You had to blow up cities?"
"I had to, but I didn't want to. They wouldn't let us. We were weapons and they didn't care what we wanted," she said as she buried her face into his shoulder. "All those people... I can hear them screaming and they made me..."
Consoling a sobbing girl was not something that he was good at, but he put his arms clumsily around her in a hug. "Don't ya worry. Ya ain't gonna have ta do that sort of thing ever again."
"I never wanted too..."
"I believe ya. Heck, the most that ya might have ta do is ta send a pervert or two flyin'."
"No killing?"
"Nah. 'Sides, ya could blast some of the jerks around here and they'd only get mad."
"I don't want to want to kill again."
"And ya won't," he told her.
"This looks to be a good match," commented Kumiko, "And with your down payment set, you're all set to go."
"We are?"
"Yes, you are. As long as the payments are met, and there are no problems between you and her, I see nothing left but to wish you luck."
"I think that I'm gonna need more than luck," Ranma said with a roll of his eyes, before turning to his 'purchase'. "Ya mind lettin' go of me?"
"Oh... okay..," replied Ifurita with a sad sniff.
"Good, 'cause it'd be kinda hard ta get ya home with ya holdin' onto me like that."
"'Home'?"
"Yeah. I ain't about to leave ya here."
"I've never had a home before."
"Well ya do now. And I'm sure that Kasumi's gonna take good care of ya."
"She's my main operator, right?"
"Yup. She's gotta be one of the nicest people I've ever known."
"I hope so..," she said hesitantly.
"I know so. Once she gets ta meet ya, ya won't be able to do anythin' else until she's got ya all settled in."
"She sounds wonderful."
"Trust me. She is. I'm sure that she'll like ya. Which is going ta leave me with only one problem."
"What's that?"
"What's everyone else gonna take this..?" he said with a sigh while:
