Noting that he was in someones way Ranma closed his P.O. box and walked out of the post office. Outside he found a empty bench sitting under a tree and sat there to look over the rest of his mail. The next peice of mail he pulled out seemed to be one of those community papers. "The Toltirr Times?"
That was a new one, not that he read every paper in the area but he knew of most of them by name, this must be one of those papers people printed at home or some such.
Or atleast that was his first thought despite the thickness of the paper, but when he looked inside he found all the sort of stuff you'd find in a regular paper....and much, much more you would never find in a regular paper.
There were the usual schedule of events for the next month to two months though he didn't recognize half the entries. Fairy parade? UFO landings? Spirit Portals? Galactic Fighting Contest? Power Armor/Hamfest? Harem Party (if you dont have one well help you find one)? Symbiote/Host/Potential-Host get-togethers?
Leaving the schedule of events for later (despite his curiousity for the Harem Party, no *slap!* bad thoughts) Ranma looked over the rest of the paper. Articles mostly. How To Get Out Of Abusive Relationships. Increasing Your Knowledge. Martial Arts Corner. Horoscope. Medical News. Traveling to Parallel Universes for Fun and Adventure.
There were a dozen more articles atleast, though odd as it seemed about a quarter of them were printed in some language he couldn't read. Now why would anyone print an article in a Japanese newspaper that japanese people wouldn't be able to read? Puzzling it over Ranma wondered if the paper weren't some international thing soeone was doing.....hmmm....
Still confused Ranma turned to the last few pages of the paper and found the Wanted section. The first twenty or so didn't make a whole lot of sense. TAC? Tank Police? Gasaraki? Hellsing? Gate Keepers? 3WA? Phantom Corp? Get Backers? Gunsmith Cats (weren't guns illegal?)? Even after he got past those it was still......weird.
After that was the 'For Sale' section. Starship auction? Secret Base giveaway? Treasure? Robot and Android sale?
Puting the paper away for now Ranma looked up at the cloud less sky, judging from the suns position it was just a bit after 2pm. Where had the time gone? Everytime he came here time seemed to move faster then it did in Nerima, no matter how long he tried to prolong his trip here. The sad part was he was starting to like this, not the chaos in Nerima, but this little pattern he had going of coming here whenever Akane got really worked up. Sooner or later (preferably later) this would end when someone, be it one of the girls or an enemy of his or even just someone from Furikahn saw him here and mentioned it to everyone else. Then they would come here for this and that, utterly destroying this little island of peace he had created.
And then he'd show them that Happosai wasn't the only one who could pull bombs out of thin air!
But it was still a nice day and while he could just go back to Nerima and get malleted a couple more times before dinner, he'd rather:
