The Wrath of Wolves: Basecamp on Aebra [Episode 68523]

by Red Priest of the 17th Order

Sitting at the edge of a construction site, Britanny muttered angrilly to herself. She was thankful she was alone for the moment, as she had some steam she wanted to get off her chest. "Naka-frakin', back-stabbin, traitorous sisters..."

Huffing in indignation, Britanny pouted. She felt a need to be around on this adventure. It was too important to her. Brendan was alive, had enthralled her best friend, and her family and friends had conspired to keep her out of the smackdown that bastard deserved.

And worse, there was no tuna on Aebra! Gina was so hurried to get her the hell out of the mansion, that she just put her in a force bubble and literally booted her off of the planet with only the clothes on her back!

"I swear to God, if Brianna takes any tuna from my stash, she is in for such a bruising when I get back!" Britanny grumbled.

Still, if Britanny knew of the dangers that were involved, like teh trap her husband and family have been put through, as well as the attack on her home, she'd be thankful for being sent to Aebra... She still wouldn't forgive Gina over the fact there's no tuna, but she wouldn't be as angry as she was now.

Still, the point was that she didn't, and she was fuming in anger. Hell hath no fury like a werecheetah scorned!

After a few moments, the new High Priestess of the Kryn whom had replaced Tanya, Jazelle, came onto the scene, searching for the werecheetah. She sighed in relief as she saw Britanny in a corner of a construction site grumbling about husbands sleeping on couches and sisters not getting any Birthday, Christmas, Hanuka, or even Kuwanza presents for next decade...

Walking up cautiously to the annoyed werecheetah, Jazelle bowed courteously to Britanny. "Greetings, Britanny. How ae you doing?"

Britanny raised an eyebrow to Jazelle's question. "Considering what I'm more angry about. The fact Brendan's back and hurting my friends, or that my family turned on me."

Jazelle frowned a little. "Your family didn't turn on you. They're only looking out for your well-being."

Britanny just continued to pout.

Sighing, Jazelle said, "At least try to show some cheer. You know, stress is not good for a pregnancy. And we wouldn't want anything to happen to your baby."

Britanny nodded her head grudgingly. She didn't like to think about it, but even she had to admit that while she was sure she'd be all right, her daughter's safety was another matter.

Jazelle sighed and pat Britanny on the shoulder. "Is there anything I can get you while you're here for your stay?"

"Tuna," Britanny said. "And lots of it."

Jazelle sweat-dropped. Aebra was not known for it's seafood. Hell, after the attack on Aebra by the Dynasty of the Stars the only water on the planet was underground, as Aebra no longer had oceans on its surface. Still, they did make trades with other planets. "I'll see what we can do..."

(------)

Nabiki sighed as she looked up at the sky... Or, to be more precise, the ceiling of a bio-dome to keep atmosphere in. She had been told by some of the Kryn that Aebra was a little out of whack ever since an attack by an alien armada. And as such, the Kryn were still doing a lot of work with terraforming.

There was so much on the Tendo werewolf's mind. She was pregnant. Her family still didn't know about her fate, and Ranma was fighting a war in her name, and to help others.

It was then that Nabiki was taken out of her train of thought as she felt someone tug on her tail.

"Aunt 'Biki!" Pojo called out. "What'cha doin'?"

"Thinking," Nabiki stated plainly. God, she hated this. She never was good with little kids, and now, as the only 'adult' werewolf in this place, Jetta's children were acting really clingy.

Sighing, Nabiki shook her head. Who was she to judge. She was pretty clingy of Jetta for a few days, as the female werewolf was experienced in these things, and was able to explain what was going on with her.

Noticing the odd expression on Nabiki's face, Pojo tugged at Nabiki's tail again. "Aunt 'Biki, you okay? You look sad."

Sighing, Nabiki moved a hand over to Pojo; ruffling his hair. "I'm fine kiddo. But where's your sister?"

"She's right here," came a female voice. Nabiki turned her head to the source of the voice and saw the woman everyone was calling 'Archon' walk towards her, while holding Alera in her arms. She smiled and explained, "I was watching the children, but they really wanted to see you."

"It's all right," Nabiki said with a sigh. "I guess I'll need to get the practice."

Jalliele'Brea frowned a little at seeing Nabiki was still distraught over this. Walking over to Nabiki, the Archon sat down next to her, "Nabiki, I know this situation is strange, but it's not bad." Seeing Nabiki look at her with a questioning look, she continued, "You see, while I do no condone the situation, you have to consider that life is life. You are going to have a child of your own, and that means a lot of responsibility lies ahead of you."

"No kidding," Nabiki answered sarcastically. However, she was surprise when Pojo moved to sit in her lap. She sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

"You have to admit, the young ones like you." Archon said seriously.

Chuckling a little at that, Nabiki said, "I don't know why. I mean, sure, I'm a female werewolf, but I'm not exactly the nicest person one could be around."

"Don't sell yourself short, Ms. Tendo," Archon said seriously. "I believe there's more to you than even you know about. When these two first got here, they were crying for their mother, but once they realized you were here, they calmed down cinsiderably."

Smirking a little, Archon said, "Besides, they even adopted you as family, so that should say something about your likability, 'Aunt 'Biki'."

Nabiki just rolled her eyes as the Archon chuckled. "Who knew an Empress could be so light-hearted," Nabiki wondered.
