Nabiki groaned as she regained consciousness, a cold, musty smelling fog swirled over her. Goose bumps sprouted across her body as she opened her eyes to the dark, overcast night sky. “Oh nice one Ranma, you got me good. Booby-trap the laptop. I never would have guessed that you would have that in you. You even had the balls to drag and leave me outside.”
She sat up, blinking slowly as she looked around, as her mind began to catalog certain facts that she was no longer in familiar surroundings. Such things like the cold, hard packed dirt road she was laid out on. Or the sprawling dilapidated graveyard, surrounded by the creaking rust-iron gate to the right of the path. Then there was the moonlight reflecting off the lake surrounding the massive dark castle. It reached up towards the heavens like a grasping claw.
Nabiki took in her surroundings, her tone dropping by degrees. “Oh, I don’t believe this. You paid off the pig boy to take me on a little road trip. Oh yes, both of you will definitely be paying for this.” She began to stand up as new facts forced themselves upon her. One being the high-necked royal blue captains jacket with gold trimming and silk garnet. The buttons were replaced with silver crosses, while the crest of a phoenix with wings spread wide was emblazoned over her left breast. Form fitting royal blue slacks encased her legs, tucked into the pair of knee high soft leather low-heeled boots. A thick leather belt rested cocked on her waist, while a coiled chain whip hung off of it.
A shudder of repressed rage ran though her body, her voice freezing the air in front of her as realization hit her. “No…neither one of them will ever have enough to pay for this.” Her hand coming down to grip around the handle of the whip absently, the creaking of the leather handle under her grip shooting through the eerie silence surrounding her. “Fine. We’ll deal with this later. For now, lets find out where I am.” She hissed as she began to look around before deciding on a direction.
