After seeing Yugi aand his frends play, Ranma had been intriged. The cards reminded Ranma of the strange card he had found in Eygpt, when he and his father had been traped in that werd cavern. Infact, when Ranma thought about it, the card reminded him of that Exodia monster. Strangly, the image on Ranma's card showed Exodia with no chains and some the extra dark brass armor over it's chest,back, and shoulders. It also had dark brass bracers on it's arms and legs. Finally this Exodia's armor was trimed with gold and siver, the card had a white background and it's name was "God Exodia, the Unbound".
The other reason was that Ranma could use his genus for combat, to fight duels insted of fighting people(a card game couldn't be dangerus or important to the world's safty, could it). Ranma had saved up his money for a starter set, and had finally had enough yen to get one.
After exiting the his Granpa's card store, Ranma stopped for a moment, hearing a slight ringing sound, Ranma looked up and caught the falling item. Once he looked at the strange ring like thing, Ranma couldn't resist putting it's sting around his neck.

Once on the mind-scape, the Ring's spirit faced Ranma. Ranma looked at his mental guest.
"Who are you?" asked Ranma.
"I don't remember my oridinal name but, you can call me.....Bakuron" said the spirit, as he and his new host begain to fuse.
