Nookiequest: Follow the Left handed path. [Episode 69490]

Nabiki looked forward, and felt a surge of cold down her spine as the figure in black advanced through the crowd. 'Oh shit,' She thought to herself. From under the shadow of his hood, his eyes touched hers, seeming to burn with a terrible intensity that made her tremble despite herself.

"Allright," The auctioneer commented, "Just press your seal here and she's yours." It took Nabiki a moment to realize that the auctioneer was indicating a point just over her left breast. Nabiki blinked and looked closer, seeing faint shimmering lines in her skin. 'That's a magic Tattoo, and once he puts his seal there it'll mark me as his. . .' As the mystery figure extended his pale hand, with it's signet ring pointing toward her, Nabiki tried to bolt, only to freeze as the auctioneer's hand descended on her shoulder, with a grip like iron.

And then the signet ring touched the spot, and a shiver ran through her body, a mixture of pain and pleasure. An instant later it faded, and the hand was removed revealing the tattoo was now black red and silver, matching his sigil perfectly. She felt a sudden pressure on her wrists, then it was gone and she realized that her manacles had been removed

"Come." The shadowed figure said as took the rope around her neck and strode toward a nearby inn.

Nabiki momentarily thought of trying to run, but beyond the feeling of wrongness the thought provoked, she also realized that she was in a place where she would quickly be recaptured and possibly punished. So she followed, making a mental note to study how the slave system worked.

Soon she was in the Shadowy Figure's room, sitting on the bed as he sat in the room's chair. "OK," The Shadowy Figure commented, "Your new to this, so I suppose I should tell you about myself.

• It seems that he's every bit as nasty as he feels.
• He's actually not so bad, he just happens to be a necromancer, and as such he has a feel of death.
• While not a necromancer, he is a student of a highly dangerous and dark form of magic which has tainted his aura through use.
• He's a Player Character like Nabiki, however in customizing his character he took the advantage Dread Gaze(His gaze can terrify weak monsters) and the disadvantage Lack of Pigment (His skins extra pale and burns VERY easily.)
• He's something Else.
