Shampoo handed Akane the Oven Fresh Bun wrapper as she looked over Ranma's form.
"What does this have to do with..." Akane paused and looked very stricken. "Oh! How horrible?! You're saying my poor Ranma is stuck as girl...a girl demon?"
"Oh, she's not a demon," the store clerk said. All eyes turned to her for a moment, so swiftly she flinched. "She's just a tiefling."
"A tiefling?" Ukyou repeated.
"A lot of them come in," she continued. "Some of them get desperate for people to stop attacking them at the drop of a hat and come to get transfurred."
"Uhhh..." Ranma groaned as she started to come to. "What hit me?"
"Akane hit you," Shampoo said. "With the couch. But it's just a concussion."
"Ahh, Akane, why'd you have...to..." Ranma paused and swiftly turned her head about to look at Akane. "If that's real..." He turned to look slowly toward Shampoo, Hiroshi and then Ukyou.
"Uh, hi, Ran-chan," Ukyou said.
"Oh. My. Kami." Ranma whimpered before fainting.
"Ranma!" Akane gasped. She whirled on Ukyou. "This is all your fault! Hmph, and to think, I was going to tell Ranma to marry YOU!"
