Elfguest: Silver Serpent [Episode 69856]

by Thrythlind

The Yaun-Ti used to be human, until they did business with one of the darker serpent deities. In the wake of their business and worship of one of the most vile gods to ever walk the planes, they became a sort of snake-people.

Their breeding methods were vile and disgusting and the most debased members of their race were given the highest ranks and honor. The abominations, the result of any breeding between yuan-ti. Yet those were not the only yuan-ti. There were half-bloods and pure-bloods as well, and these were the ones sent to spy upon human lands.

And the manner of creating such beings was horrid and involved reducing a human being into a mindless breeding machine through the use of a dark potion that would only remain potent for a short time and could only be brewed once in a century.

They were the most vile and powerful of the lot, but they were easily marked as monsters, and their power was not such that they could survive against the other races should they gather in power.

And so the purebloods were necessary. And in such ways, the blood of the yuan-ti occasionally slipped into the bloodlines of the humans they descended from. The occasional woman or man with a resistance to poison and a supple, agile grace, may have had one of these monster's in their past.

Nabiki knew none of this history as her mind considered her new found desire to defend society from all manners of evil in whatever way she could. Whether that required her brain or her newly acquired combat skills, she would see. But she'd not sit idly by any longer while evil was done.

It was plain to see, that should Nabiki ever encounter a born member of her new race, that large sparks were to fly.

As it was, Nabiki was...
