Wild Aura: Computer Hacking for Fun and Profit Knowledge [Episode 69930]

by Red Priest of the 17th Order

Gina frowned a little to herself. Sure, hacking into the Japanese Government's Database had been a piece of cake for someone like herself, since she had some of the greatest tech on the face of the plant! However, what she was finding had her cuious as to what was going on with the people in Nerima.

Gina had first thought to look into what she could on Nabiki Tendo, since Dao mentioned she'd be the key to finding Ranma. Some of the information Gina found useful, such as date of birth, residence, and family. However, Gina was confused when parts of Nabiki's records were purposely left blank or, 'file not found'. Did this woman have ties with the Japanese government to keep some of her own life a secret? And if so, what kind of standing did this girl have in the community.

Still, Gina hoped to get more luck by searching through files of Nabiki's family. There wasn't anything noticable except that their place of residence was a Dojo, and that the mother had expired a decade previous.

So, while Gina's search through the Tendo family wasn't giving much of use besides an adres of where to find them, and names of family, the database also had a few newspaper articles of the Tendo Family. One was about Soun Tendo being made the head of the neighborhood council, but then stepping down a week later. Another had mentioning of a Ranko Saotome winning a Martial Arts Take-out Relay Race in the name of the Tendo Dojo. There was also one about an Akane Tendo winning a swimming competition in a unique way by using a bunch of inner-tubes too keep her afloat. And then there were a whole bunch of newspaper articles about sightings of a 'panty-thief' seen around the Nerima District, especially around the Tendo Dojo.

"What kind of person steals women's panties?" Gina genuinely wondered. Oh well. None of her business.

Still, while the bit of information she could find on the Tendos lead to a mostly dead end, the article about Ranko and the Take-out Race Gina did find proved there was still a connection between the Tendos and the Saotomes. "And if I remember correctly, Dao said that there was a girl that was once part of Ranma... And she was of the Saotome family... So maybe..."

Gina then changed her search through the Japanese Government archives. She hit pay-dirt as soon as she typed in the name "Saotome".

The majoity of the informations eemed to center around Genma Saotome. Gina was surprised at the man's criminal record, which was probably as long as an Iron Dragon. So many repeated accounts of 'petty' crimes; including breaking an entering, shop-lifting, robbery, illegal gambling, cruelty to animals, disturbance of the peace, aggravated assault, domestic dispute, and... Child abuse...

Gina's eyes narrowed. This Genma Saotme sounded like the lowest kind of scum out there. To think that this monser had her brother in his clutches in her brother's previous life. Gina growled. She did not like this Genma Saotome one bit.

Deciding to try to put him out of her mind for a moment, Gina looked up Nodoka Saotome. She was a ittle pleased to find no criminal records and impressed by some of the awards the woman had recieved. She won a few Kendo tournaments in her youth, and even was reported to have performed tea ceremony for the emperor of Japan. "How could such a woman end up with such a sleaze-bag?" Gina wondered.

Cracking her knuckles, it was time for Gina to dig into the meat anbd potatoes. Ranko Saotome. Gina was shocked, to say the least. There was SO LITTLE on Ranko. However, it did mention that Ranko was on the move for a decade along with her father, which happened to fit the time-frame of a lot of the crimes.

Gina cringed when she found certain hospital records. The girl was crippled and wheelchair bound. Ouch. That certainly sucked.

Gina whistled upon finding out Ranko's employment. She was a proofreader for her brother, and he was paying her QUITE well. "Christ, this is enough to pay off one of Brit's credit card bills. Where'd he get that kind of money!?"

Shaking it off as her brother trying to be the kind soul he always is,Gina looked further into the Ranko Saotome's file. She found quite a few newspaper articles accosiated with Ranko Saotome, including that same artical about the Martial Arts Take-out. There was also one of Ranko winning a Rythmic Gymnastics Competition for Furinkan High School by defeating St. Hebereke's School for Girls' reigning champion, Kodachi Kuno. There was also one of Ranko performining in a winning play that was judged by actor Xian "China" Li. There was also an article about Ranko defeating a Picolet Chardin, who was a practicioner of "Parlay du Foie Gras" in a 'martial arts diners' competition. There is even a smal article about Ranko running a local okonomiyaki shop whilt the true owner, Ukyo Kuonji was preparing for a rematch with Jo 'the Crepe King' Tsujitani. And there was one about Ranko Saotome defeating a man in black who would scare girls whom was known as the 'Furinkan Stalker'.

And form there, there were small articles about Ranko facing off against all sorts of beasts. One about a Ranko facing a man known as the Dojo Destroyer. Another was of telling Ranko fighting some winged bull-like beast. There were many, MANY articles that spoke of Rasnko dealing wihtthe 'panty-thief', but failing to capture him. And another told of Ranko facing a man in armor whom claimed to be a dragon and he was being followed by what were described as two 'humanoid beast men. These articles truly interested Gina, especially the last one, as it meant there could be more weres out there that they didn't know of. But alas, there wasn't much information. These were really only small blurbs.

Gina made a mental note that if she met Ranko,s he'd question her on these events.

Letting out a sigh, Gina was satisfied for the moment. Bringing up several screens of all the different information she wanted, on her larger computer screen, Gina started printing. "Wait until the others get a load of this!"
