[Episode 71573] [Episode 71573]For a start she noticed she was without a doubt completely naked, and apparently her new natural color was platinum blonde, yet for some reason neither fact embarrassed her, in fact she almost found the alteration humorous. Visibly smirked, Miki couldn’t help but take closer look, ‘What the #$^*?’ was the first thought to cross her mind while inspecting the shrubbery, ‘This isn’t hair, it’s feathers.’
As if clued in on what she would find Miki let her eyes stray further south of the equator and confirmed an earlier creeping suspicion she’d been having, ‘Yep no ifs, ands, or @$$*$ about it, Miki Makimura you’ve just gone from one kind of hen to another.’
Pausing a few moments to gather her thoughts and ignore the carnage around her Miki tried that time honored denial technique… levity, ‘I hope I can change back to my old body, I don’t think I can afford the cost of keeping my room in shredded newspaper and cedar chips year round.’ Turning to look at the transformed Akira, and his fallen friend Ran, Miki realized that no amount of crude humor, why she thought of it she wasn’t sure, could brighten up this situation. Slowly she walked toward her friend and classmate not sure just how to approach him, and just when she got within a few feet of Akira… he turned towards her with an enraged snarl and tackled her to the ground.
Now pined to the ground she laid grappling with Akira who seemed intent on killing her. Out of Akira’s snarling mouth with a fiery passion came the reason behind his sudden attack, “You, I’ll kill you, first you killed Asuka, and now Miki… die.”
Visibly struggling against Akira’s rage Miki could only reply with the truth, “Stop it Akira, I am Miki."
Suddenly Akira let up; the shock of what he had almost done was easily visible even through his now inhuman features. Now as mentally exhausted as Miki by the events of the day Akira collapsed on top of Miki, who curled up against him, and nodded off all the while wondering what tomorrow would bring.
