She was rather suspicious that she had perhaps missed the Diggers on their trip to Japan, but now came this mystery of how a whole bunch of werecats could dwell in modern Japan without raising a fuss. And some of them were cheetahs too.
She sighed irritably as she tried to work out the problem, but at least this meant that the werecheetah clan was saved, most likely. She was on the verge of giving up when she heard the scream of pain and rushed in that direction.
She found a werecheetah and something that smelled...metal standing over a rather pained looking jag-were.
"Kuno's unconscious again, Nabiki," the werecheetah was saying to the jag-were. Jetta turned to look at the boy with the tire track on his face.
"Nabiki-san?" the metal girl was saying. "Are you all right Nabiki-san?"
"Nabiki-san" whined wordlessly as tears started to collect in her eyes.
"Stand aside," Jetta instructed, leaning down next to Nabiki and checking her over gently. "What did this?" The android looked embarrassed.
"Apparently she was a little too happy to see Nabiki," the werecheetah said, pointing to the android.
"Oh," Jetta said. "She should be fine in a couple of hours, in the meantime..." Nabiki was vaguely conscious of a fist heading to her face before everything went blissfully black and sensationless.
"You know," Ukyou said. "I'm beginning to wonder if Nabiki should get back into training as a martial artist."
"She needs training?" Jetta asked. ~Hmm, that could be a pleasant diversion, and it would give more connections with the werecats...and with those devices of Gina's getting here is relatively easy.~
"Excuse me," the werecheetah said as the shock of the situation wore off. "Who are you?"
