The only problem was that there were quite possibly over a hundred pod people around, by the time Ranma rejoined the fight and shared his plan with his 'sisters', and several dozen more were arriving by the minute. Ranma and Kurumi could barely keep the situation under control, almost taking out pod people at a rate of one per second, each.
"We need a new plan, Big Sister!" Kurumi yelled, sending one hand to her hair to grab onto her ribbon, and then using said ribbon to decapitate three pod people who got in dangerously close.
Ranma nodded to herself, ducking into a legsweep that merely removed the pod person's foot, making it collapse without a single cry of anguish, a perfectly neutral expression on its face. It would've been easier, if I could just shoot huge balls of energy from his palms, or punch at the speed of sound, or maybe even summon down fire and lightning.... "Damn, I wish I had an ultimate attack," the red-head complained. Feeling a smaller form colliding against her back, she threw a quick glance over her shoulder. "Oh, hey there, Kurumi," she greeted the other girl.
"Umm, actually," Kurumi said, biting on her lower lip, concern written over her face. "I had an ultimate attack. Kinda. But I can't use it."
Ranma blinked, backhanding a couple of pod people as she stared at Kurumi, dumbfounded. "Is it an evil technique that requires you to relinquish your soul, or has it been sealed away to prevent misuse by the future generations?"
"Not really," Kurumi replied, twirling her ribbon around the two of them, and decapitating the advancing masses of pod people converging on them. "It just takes two people. I do it with my sister -- the other, original older sister -- but since she's not here...."
"Here's a thought," Ranma said as calmly as she could. "Pretend I'm your older sister -- the other, original older sister -- and let's try this 'ultimate attack' of yours."
"Sure thing!" Kurumi agreed, and her red ribbon began giving off a dim scarlet light. As it spiraled around them, resembling an inverted miniature hurricane, she asked, "What next, Big Sister?"
Ranma shook herself out of her stupor, induced by seeing the ribbon covered by an ethereal red light. "Well, what would your-- Natsume. What would Natsume do now?"
"Her rug beater would glow blue, and she would thrust it outwards, punching through my spiral."
"And then?" Ranma asked eagerly.
"Cool things happen!" Kurumi exclaimed. "Let's try it, Big Sister!"
"Don't we need a rug beater?" Ranma deadpanned. Seeing the other girl deflate, she finally turned around and patted her on the shoulder. "Never mind. Let's try it!" Rewarded with a bright smile from Kurumi, Ranma began thinking this through. There had to be some trick to the attack. Maybe if I paint my arm blue...?
Help came from an unexpected source. Usagi ran by them, wailing at the top of her lungs, with the trio of Genma pods moonwalking after her, and somehow managing to keep up. One of them blew Ranma a kiss, and hooked both of his thumbs around the waistband of his boxers.
Ranma froze in place, his expression turning completely blank. Kurumi, who was facing him and was thus spared the horror, was about to ask the red-head what was wrong, when gale-force winds picked up around the two. Before she could say anything, the ground beneath them exploded outwards, and huge, transparent blades of wind streaked across the plaza, decimating everything in their path....
